He was given a chance and sub halfway through. Surely that is it for him. Put a line through his name and move on.

Played 14 games now without showing anything at all.

What about Ross, McIntosh, Ralphsmith, Miller and Mansell?  Constantly gifted games whilst completely butchering their opportunities.  Dow deserves as many chances as they've all got.

Weird comparisons.

Kmac was a proven handy roll player during flag years.

Ross has also had many solid games.

The guys you have named have all showed some glimmer of skill. Dow has not shown anything, in his 14 AFL games, that you could say we should gift him more games.

But what would I know? If I had a clue I would be in the AFL coaching game.

What did all we think of Dow's performance today in his return to the seniors?

21 disposals (10k, 11h, 8c, 13u, 76.2% eff.)
6 marks (1 contested mark)
1 tackle
4 clearances (2 centre clearances)
3 inside 50s
180 metres gained
1 intercept
6 score involvements
1 goal assist
1 behind
74% time on ground

Definitely showed enough. More upside than a lot of players getting games ahead of him

A positive on very bleak day

Not sure it is enough to save him but at least play him for the remainder of the year

Encouraging signs but the flaws are still there and they're still sizeable. Jury still out but needs to play the next two. :shh

I find it hard to believe that supporters can be so naieve so often.

That lot you defend have hardly a skillful bone between them and while not a fan of Dow would take his skill set over the others every day of the week.

Maybe the simple truth is none of them are any good and they all need replacing.

Dow is currently our best centre clearance player. He is showing more care and values his kicks now more than ever. As a poor centre clearance team he is valued. No question he should get another year and he should be played.

I hope but I am not confident they will allow him to play the remainder of the year in the team.
