Deserved his shot as his form at VFL level was strong but poor Will had a bit of a mare on debut. Just couldn't adjust to the quicker tempo of AFL footy all night and was run down a number of times when he was free. Even if he gets dropped the one positive is he now knows what to expect and what to work on for the next time he gets an opportunity at senior AFL level.

I'd play him next week for sure. Give him time to adjust as he has the tools.

100% better, forget the umpiring, at the end of the day playing two debutants tonight, cost us the game ::)

Was definitely overwhelmed by the pace of the game.

Also didn't look quite as big I remember from last year's training photos...was he told to trim down like Ross?

Ross has been crap since his syndesmosis and I reckon losing weight has made it even worse. He's a shadow of the player from his first 3 games.

Red hot game to make your debut. Lessons everywhere for him.

Would give him another game or two then make an assessment.

12 possessions from 57% game time is ok for your first AFL game

Hopefully he comes good but players like corey ellis and will martyn who lack speed struggle to make careers. I hope he proves me wrong. If hes dedicated he'll get himself a sprint coach and try and find an extra 2 or 3 metres over the first 10 metres away ftom a contest.
