Best game he’s played.  Needs to make this the norm!

Was great they gave him some opportunities to move outside the F50

Was awesome today

Thought he was more involved but geez he continues to make simple mistakes imo  skill set is not up to it.

He's coming of age, he does need to be more aware of his limitations. He can't kick long, so he's choosing to kick short but every time coming inside slow short kicks get chopped off. I'd be looking for him to go down the line or look for a handball receive more often than not, he should not be the player switching or coming into the corridor. Apart from that tweak and education he's going very well.

As I said , the main reason we were able keep the ball in our defensive half for extended periods...sets the tone.....the more he plays the better he'll get....Cyril's still the only Rioli to immediately be a star in the AFL when drafted as a teenager....... :shh

I don’t think his disposal will ever get significantly better, but he’d be one of 100+ players that struggle with that.

What will improve is his composure and decision making not just as he plays more games but as he starts seeing more of the ball in those games.

Was huge yesterday. I loved that he did not drop his head when he turned it over, he got the ball and kept going. Brilliant performance.

Although Rioli made a couple of mistakes with his disposal during the match, Richmond coach Ade Yze highlighted his importance within the Tigers’ line-up, and how much improvement he still has in him.

“We know the talent that he’s got . . . He works really hard, but he can let himself down with the ball at times. That’s just the nature of the way that he plays. It’s high energy, high intensity, high pressure. We’ve just got to get him to take a breath when he gets the ball,” Yze said in his post-game press conference.

“He’ll still have those moments, but what we need is what he brings off the ball.

“He’s so diligent in our team defence.

“We’re forever highlighting his role within our team defence, let along what’s happening around with his pressure.

“So, we love what he can bring, and we’ve just got to coach him through the opportunities with the ball to get some reward for effort, because he works hard every game.

“We really missed him last week (against Port Adelaide) when he went out (injured) in the warm-up.

“It was good for him to show what he can do, and we’ll just keep working with him.”

Hopefully he can gain some more composure with the ball. We do look better when he plays.

Got a feeling Yze telling him hit this kicks in corridor to breaje the game open when it cones off.

Have said consistently that he needs at least 50 games - when he feels comfortable at the level, he'll be an absolute gem. Hopefully he's starting to show it now.

100%. Another couple came off. Some want to zero in on the negatives of a player.  ::)
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
