Getting to 100,000 this year is going to be difficult but we need anyone who can afford to buy a membership to do so.

Every AFL club’s membership rewards for the 2021 premiership season revealed

The loyalty of footy fans was tested like never before in a COVID-ravaged AFL season. Here’s how clubs are saying thanks to their members this year.

RICHMOND

— The Tigers have introduced a pay-as-you-attend model for reserved seat and reserved bay members. Eligible members will have the option of paying a base membership fee upon renewal and then paying a discounted ticketing fee for each game they choose to attend. The value of the base membership and ticketing fee is dependent on their membership product and level of seating.

— Price freeze, or in some cases price reduction, across membership products for season 2021.

— Greater choice on member choice items.

— Richmond has communicated to its members the prospect of member-only games in 2021 if there are still restrictions on crowd numbers at games.

— Pledged members with match access will also receive an additional membership in 2021, which can be given to a family member who wasn’t a member in 2020.
Guess who will be artificially inflating their membership numbers this year  :whistle.

Thats going to be a massive hit to revenues. I was still hoping for 100,000 but its not likely looking at that.

Steady on Ramps,
I reckon there a lot of people holding off until they know if they’ll actually be able to go to games

^^^^^^this

And i think you would find that the Club would have budgeted for this.

Benny Gale has said many times in the last few momths 2021 and 2022 are going to be tougher than 2020

The Club would be prepared

The late finish to last season would also be having an effect. Everything was pushed back a month.

If we get 90k it will be an outstanding result.  Another year with restricted attendance is certain and many members suffering financial hardship.  Its going to be tough going for everyone.

Not certain, nowhere near it.
Vaccines start in less than a month with all the most vulnerable protected by end April. We might start at 50% but as we saw in Brisbane with no vaccine, things can ramp up pretty quickly.

The biggest issue is border control - the absurdity of these differences of interpretation of what is “proportionate” will keep Gil and the gang on edge.
