I thought today was his best game for the year. At least showed some intent at the source.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

As much as I don't think he's any good, I was glad (or shocked) to see he took 6 marks.  :rollin

Yep - plays better without Nank......still a ways to go but reckon a lotta flogs are gonna look mighty stupid when he's 26/27.... :shh

Richmond seems bizarrely cursed with this 2nd/Ruck forward pursuit. for a brief period of time we had one of the best ever in ottens and we absolutely failed in that ruck/fwd player ever since with vickery, Griffith to name a couple. That being said is a hybrid ottens type too much of a pipedream? Like how many in the league do we have which are legit A grade?

Some interesting comments here

I thought he was average bordering on poor.

Got towelled up in ruck but thought his intensity was better this week

Stats make his game look better than it was.

Had multiple opportunities to take important marks early and dropped them all. Zero second efforts.

One year extension would have been plenty.

I could be wrong but I don’t think there were any contested marks in his 6. All of them were chest marks from short kicks around the ground which I guess is still an improvement. I just can’t fathom someone 205cm being so uncompetitive aerially.

If he could work on his hand strength, upper body, arms and do some sprint training over summer that would help

Definately needs to be developed as a ruckman.

He is so far behind Nankervis in this he will have to be patient and develop mostly in the two's.

I just don't see it with him though and i really hope we don't place all of our long term ruck hopes into him.

As stated far too often he needs a massive increase in size and strength. He also needs to learn to mark the ball at afl level.
He needs to be far more competetive than what he has shown to date.
Looks totally uncoordinated and is a serious passenger when the ball is on the ground. All this and he turns 24 this year.

Not delist time no problems with him getting another year but i certainly have a problem with three.

Yes 3 years too many but maybe other clubs offering him 2??
I'm just sick of him being pushed around, time to put on some muscle.
