Tackles inside 50.  14-1 their way.

Only 3 blokes could manage 20+ touches.
Short the most with 22.

Midfield weak as pee.

Time for some change, need to get rid of some plodders.

Soldo injured also?

Did Bolton attend a centre bounce in the last quarter?

Yeah midfield is screwed without Prestia and lambert. Not to mention an underdone Graham. Those 3 are crucial. No hard in rcd for ross at this stage.

I saw him once in there. But yeah not sure why he wasn't used earlier.

Likewise Balta could've been thrown in the ruck to try to do something to curtail their centre clearance dominance.

Prestia has been on one leg since 2019 and Lambert is also old and struggling to get on the park. Their days are very numbered. Cotchin even worse, Edwards also ageing.

And yet we drafted 1 potential mid in Sonsie. I'd have liked 3 mids and 2 talls. Instead we stocked up on half back flankers.

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

RCD was below par in the seconds I hear,
I suspect our old blokes will break down this year  and we will struggle this year. Hope I’m wrong
Without the senior players we are an average side at this stage

Fitness is a worry as  we couldn’t even run out the game,

The days of Cotch attending every centre bounce are gone. We need to change things up in there big time. Bolton & Edwards need to be in there more. Even when Cotch gets it, he rarely turns it into a quality clearance these days.

The sun will come up but Hardwick needs to make an early season statement at selection this week.

The other thing that killed us tonight was our inability to stop them disposing of the ball to advantage in a tackle. We lost a lot of disputed ball because we couldn't halve contests. Was a problem last season too.

We didn't need ball magnets in our glory years, but we could do with a couple now.
