How can the pies afford Tom Mitchell who'd be on decent coin?  Hawks paying a chunk?

They missed out on Taranto.

I think Cox coming ooc? He was on 600.

Grundy likely traded out.

De Goey not going to get the big coin he wants.

Maybe Hawks paying a bit.

Mitchell - Have to be on $600k plus
Hill - $400k ?
Frampton - $300k
Mc stay - $600k
Fiorini - $400k probably on that at GC.
I'm obviously guessing the numbers here but $2.3k coming in potentially with $700k coming out for Grundy and maybe $400k for Henry.
Either I'm way out in the numbers or they'd need to offload others?
No one retiring of note??
For a team who had to dump 4 players 3 years ago doesn't make sense to me

Fiorini would command more than $400k surely

Taranto and Hopper

“It’s an interesting one to have two players of quality request to go to the same club,” McCartney told AFL Trade Radio.

“Tim’s a bit different to Jacob because Jacob is in contract. Richmond bowed out that first week of finals and they’ve identified a need in their midfield and obviously there’s two quality players there.

“Chatting with Blair Hartley and the Richmond guys and they understand the quality of these players and they understand it’s going to take a little bit of work with one still in contract. We’ll keep working through that.”

TIM TARANTO AND JACOB HOPPER

Both Taranto and Hopper are set to join Richmond on seven-year deals in what looms as a huge double coup for the Tigers.

Taranto was also weighing up interest from Collingwood, while Hopper snubbed the Cats as Richmond is now set to be bolstered by two key additions to its midfield.

McCartney said such landmark deals are the “nature of player movement now” where it’ll help the Tigers shape the structure of their salary cap.

“It’s an interesting one to have that quality both end up choosing the one club. Tim is a bit different to Jacob, because Jacob is in contract,” McCartney said on AFL Trade Radio.

“Richmond bowed out that first week of finals and they’ve identified a need in their midfield, obviously there’s two quality players there. (We’re) In chats with Blair Hartley and the Richmond guys, they understand the quality of these players and that it’s going to take a bit of work with one still in contract. We’ll keep working through that though.

“To see two go the one club certainly is rare.”

RICHMOND - Players that could arrive

GWS duo Jacob Hopper and Tim Taranto have their sights set on landing at Richmond, and veterans Jack Riewoldt and Trent Cotchin have already done their part in the process by signing reduced money deals for 2023 to free up some cap space. They’ll probably need to spend their two top-20 picks from this year and next year’s first-rounder to nab the pair.

Liam Stocker is a name floated in recent weeks after he was delisted by the Blues. It was reported that Richmond were interested in drafting him back in 2018 before the Blues jumped the queue.

"There are players that get motivated by going to another club. This is maybe what he needs. To go in a new direction."

-> David Noble on Lachie Hunter

"You're probably looking at something in the late first round. When he's playing well, he's a very good player and very important to the Bulldogs when at his best."

-> Stephen Silvagni on Hunter's value

I'd say Lachie Hunter is worth a second rounder.

 :cheers
I'd say Lachie Hunter is worth a second rounder.

Depends what his contract is per year ?

If getting paid too much , he’s probably not worth a second rounder
If getting paid unders , he’s probably worth early second
If way unders, late first maybe

Developing KPF? Any good?

I'd be interested in Hunter. Upgrade for the wings.
