The Tigers won’t regain Tom Lynch or Dustin Martin for a suddenly crucial Friday night clash with the Dockers, both declared unavailable on Monday evening due to their respective hamstring injuries.

Josh Gibcus, subbed out of the shock loss to the Roos, could still play despite his shoulder injury while sub Jake Aarts will be under pressure to hold his spot - he’s already on the fringes of the side, and his last-minute brain-fade won’t help keep him in Damien Hardwick’s good books.

In better news Ivan Soldo (thumb), Sydney Stack (fractured cheekbone) and Jack Ross (knee) are all likely to be available - though Toby Nankervis’ availability limits Soldo’s chances of a return.

As much as i would like to give a game to Ryan i think Soldo will be needed to play most of the game on big Darcy. That would allow us to change it up a bit and play Nankervis fwd along with Balta or Miller.They do a similar thing with Rory Lobb playing mostly fwd and some  Ruck.

They sure are a big midfield group and in this if Ross is fit id play him and RC-D.
Would bring in maurice junior for some fwd half pressure but geez i hope they give him some licence to actually attack.3 disposals a game is not what we want we want a balanced game and we want them to worry about him hitting the scoreboard.
Crazy as it sounds would love to see Stack play as a shut down small defender ffs someone has to perform the role.

We will need all of our bigger tall defenders on board they have Taberner at 198/99, Lobb playing as the fwd/ruck at 207/107 and they have have a damn good utility tall in Logue at 194/98. They then surround them with smalls just like we do in Walters, Schultz , and Frederic.

My ins would be
RC-D, Ross, Stack, Soldo, M Rioli
My outs would be
Edwards, Aarts, Gibcus, Ralphsmith, and it means one of Short or Baker would have to go.

Have a look at MT's horror movie and you'll see why. And BTW the same thing happened last week against N0rt. Bumped off the ball too easily

I don't agree at all. He was terrific against the Suns. Had his best match so far. Its the game he earned his Rising Star nom for.

He is learning how to play in defence and his outside run is excellent when utilised.

Dropping him would be everything that frustrates us about our match commitee.

The kid needs games -his improvement this year has been one of the highlights of the season.

He wasn't great against the Roos - but he'll learn from that.

In terms of injuries, Richmond got through the North Melbourne loss relatively unscathed, with Josh Gibcus (shoulder) a test for this week. Newbies Tyler Sonsie and Noah Cumberland impressed and should be given another run, but substitute Jake Aarts may struggle to hold his spot. Jason Castanga (24 disposals, eight clearances) impressed in the middle at VFL level. Ivan Soldo (thumb) should make his way back into the team, which may lead to a shuffle of talls, sending Noah Balta back to defence and omitting Ben Miller.

Verdict: Soldo and Castanga for Miller and Aarts. Miller to hold his spot if Gibcus isn't right.

Agree but im looking for bigger bodies who can play inside hence Ross and RC-D.Im over being belted in clearances and contested ball and im certainly over bigger opposition players just laughing at our tackling. Reckon the last two weeks Baker has been pretty ordinary as well.

 Im looking to match up on Lobb and Darcy thats why i picked Soldo to help Nankervis in fact allow nankervis to spend significant time fwd.

Im a bit fed up with oppo players like Bloody zurhar for Geez sakes kicking 6 goals we need to find a shut down small defender and im more than happy to play Stack in the role

While not happy with Juniors overall game im happy for him to come in and provide some pressure i hope he can hit the scoreboard as well.

At least im acknowledging where we have been shiite and looking at players who may help to address the issues.

On Ralphsmith i think he has been ordinary but have been happy to see them put games into him. people should not let 20 disposals against gcs cloud their judgment on his game.A lack of tackles and ineffective ones as well has been a real problem and when it comes to the physical stakes we get sweet stuff all from him.
