0-0 at half-time.

We did fairly well in that first half although Japan were gaining the momentum towards the end. The concern which has the been the case throughout these qualifiers is can we actually finish off our chances and score a goal. Bresc going off early hurts our creativity as he's been in good form since returning to the Socceroos.

Now 1-0 down forget it. All over. Socceroos have to qualify in second spot now.

Penalty to Australia.

Wilkshire makes it 1-1.

This ref. has no idea btw.

How that was a penalty no idea but Wilkshire scores. Luckiest of lucky breaks for the Socceroos 1-1.

The only way we looked like scoring. This referee has stuffed up big time three times in 10 minutes. Milligan's 2nd yellow was ridiculously harsh; 99 times out of a 100 that wasn't a penalty; handball against the Japanese player who was on a yellow already missed.

Ref calls full time just as Japan we're ready to take a free kick just outside the Aussie area. :help
1-1 draw Japan certain to finish top of the group.
Socceroos to qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil in second place from the group.

Just when you think Aussie Rules is umpired poorly you cop that idiot of a referee in Soccer. You'd swear he was hoping for a draw. Guess who won't be asked to referee at the World Cup :nope.

We'll mostly likely be in third spot after Iraq plays Oman tonight. The games against Iraq will determine if we get second spot. We play them and Jordan away in the next two games later this year. It's still a concern we haven't scored from general play in the last few games. Mind you we didn't have Kewell, Kennedy, Holman or Emerton tonight and Bresciano went off injured early.

First 20 minutes we played great. Nearly got a goal if that Japanese player didnt raise his leg and stop it.
The ref seemed to of gave us that penalty because he stuffed up on the red card call.

Ref was an absolute broccoli last night.

Both red cards were a mistake, the penalty was a mistake, missed a clear penalty, and then blows the whistle when the japs are lining up a free kick.

My god this confederate is filled with sun dried mutants.

That's what you get when you bring refs who ref in nothing leagues in the Middle East and the third world. They then get selected to ref in a world cup qualifier and can't handle the pressure.

They aren't even worthy orange peelers for the fourth officials.
