We'll smash home the Asia cup, bookmark it  :cheers

Postecoglou is a winner and its clear to everyone he has used the World Cup to blood the youngsters for a serious tilt at winning the Asian Cup.

In other news ... Greece goes through to the last 16 and they didnt even park the bus in the last game. Absolutely outplayed the Ivory Coast and the Greeks should have scored at least 3 more times IMHO. Great win though.

was a great performance, like you said Ramps, we didn't just park the bus,  had a crack and deserved to win. Should be able to beat Costa Rica and then after that park the bus  ;D

Yeah have to agree. If you have about an hour to find a second goal to win the game and you dont score against a team playing with 10 men then you dont deserve to win. CR goalkeeper saved everything, but thats sport, everyone lives on to fight another day.

Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans win.

- Gary Lineker

Means nothing now, given Germany have not won a World Cup since 1990 and a Euro since 1996 whilst France have won a World Cup and a Euro since then.
Germany still has an aura but not like they did. :thumbsup

Lineker was a great goal poacher but England would have to be the modt modern underachievers given their league their players and how it is perceived by them that it is almost a given for them to win any tournament they enter. Sounds much like English Cricket and Rugby. :lol :rollin :lol

What a QF we have on our hands. Will go even betting by game day.

Hopefully Germany for mine. Wife was born there and have met some great people from there in my travels.

Love the French too and it's a shame Europe will lose another..

I like both sides just think France can win. :thumbsup

For your sake Angus at least one of Brazil and Colombia will go leaving only the winner and Argentina in the competition. I give Colombia a huge chance to knock of the Brazilians with the winner of the France Germany quarter winning the semi also.

My tip for the whole thing is Argentina with either France or Germany as their opponent. :thumbsup
