First we have to get past the terrorists
Then we have to hope for Panama or Honduras (who are 1-0 up against USA)

They should hold Syria's home leg at Belmore Sports Ground....

Just more of the same from the Socceroos last night :facepalm. Failed again to put numerous chances away when we were on top in the first half and early second. Then fade away and concede a goal. Mind you that penalty call was the biggest load of crap  :banghead. If that sort of 'contact' in the box is penalty worthy then there would be 10 penalty calls in most games every week ::).

look, whilst it was a terrible decision i blame our players and admin staff for allowing an irani born ref to officiate the game.

seriously wtf were they thinking for not speaking up about that?

Serious question as I don't follow soccer at all

But could these results simply be a reflection of where the side is right now = we just aint that good?

Ever seen a team that can dominate a minnow like Australia does but an absolute limp dick in front of goal?

Ange is out of ideas, we need a fresh face.

We ain't that good,  but we should be a fair way ahead of every side in Asia bar Japan and South Korea. This is embarrassing, build up at pedestrian pace, no width except the Fwds who also have to trek back, sheer pig headedness in always playing out of the back instead of pumping it long, an aversion to playing square balls which in afl terms is the ball that has risk but can also break lines.

We are very easy to play against

We never counter either. Have pace to burn on the wings yet we hold it up and let the opposition get all their men back.
