October 1, 2024 - 6:21pmAFL clubs are said to have some attention placed toward former West Coast forward Isiah Winder this off-season, with the ex-Eagle earning a late invite to next week's state combine.
Winder spent three years on West Coast's list after being drafted out of Peel Thunder in 2020, with the small forward featuring in seven AFL games and 27 WAFL games for the Eagles during his time at Lathlain Park.
The 22-year-old was delisted at the cessation of his second season with the Eagles before being re-listed via the Rookie Draft that same off-season. He was delisted at the end of last year after a year spent mostly on the sidelines.
Winder was required to "regain the trust and confidence of players and staff" after being charged with assault for an incident in late 2022, with the young Eagle avoiding a criminal conviction after appearing in the Geelong Magistrates Court.
Following his West Coast departure, Winder ventured back to the WAFL with South Fremantle and played 18 games for the Bulldogs in 2024, averaging 25.4 disposals, 4.0 tackles and 4.8 marks per game while tallying 16 goals for the season.
Winder nominated for this year's AFL Mid-Season Draft in May but was not selected, despite interest from Richmond.
