Its not as if MRJ has set the world on fire. If he wants to go as the steak knives for Daniels trade then let him go with something coming back our way.

I can't believe everyone is just willing to let everyone go. Has anyone seen north's list and what happened when they let go of those senior players around 2016?

To let 2 riolis go would be absolutely crazy, despite MRJ not playing a constant brand of football yet.

There is culling and then there is being stupid.

I don't want to let them all go.

Tbh if we could keep them all I would only remove Bolton, Graham, Broad if he wants to go to North etc.

Bolton I think will get us 2 1st round picks. If we trade our other picks up I don't see why we can't end up with 4x 1st rounders.

Baker and D Rioli are proper leaders.

Oh and Short.

I'd trade him too.

Baker is uncontracted and appears gone, so that's a definite trade

I'd trade Bolton, agree you'd get 2 first rounders for him.

Graham is unrestricted FA so if he wants to go, then he's gone. Just a case of what the compo pick is

Ditto KMac

Broad wants to stay and we need his leadership so he stays

Dan Rioli is the one I'd dig my heals in over. He's contracted end of story for me

What peeves me with these blokes supposedly wanting out is they had no issues in signing long term deals whe  things were great, no we've hit the down patch they want out. I know it is simplistic for fans but to me it's poor form

Look at Baker as an an example, he was a rookie pick. No other Club wanted him but we took a Punt on him and he's a premiership player. Now he wants out.

I don't see any trade value in KMac (or Graham for that matter) hence I'm not including KMac since there's no whispers, unlike Graham.

I agree and have said so many times, history shows if you let all your experience and older players go / leave together , you end up down the bottom just rotating kids in and out the door , why do you think it took 37 years to win a premiership at our club

Not for that reason

North cut a bunch of blokes who were all still best 22 in a finals outfit

We are talking about a lot of older blokes struggling in a team that's won 2 stuffing games.

Ok, so who are we keeping? It seems like the only ones we have a choice on are the contracted blokes which would be Rioli, Bolton and...Broad? I think I'm the only bloke on this board who wants to keep Shai. Broady is 30 odd and with the exception of the last 2 weeks has battled majorly the last 2 years. We also get Gibcus back next season. Dan Rioli I'd want to keep.

The rest? Thanks for your service

Broad was contracted for 2025 but has just re-signed until the end of 2026  :clapping

2025
Vlastuin - Balta - Miller
D.Rioli - Gibcus - Brown

Gray, Blight, Young as tall depth. Yep, better sign Nathan Broad until he's 33 asap

Your assumption is Dan Rioli is staying

No, it's a rough draft of a potential backline for 2025. You yourself have said it's up to the club whether or not they let Rioli go. I've said I'd keep him

Not sure what the stuff he has to do with Nathan Broad who doesn't play as a running half back flanker

Brown forward for me. Gray too.

Not sure to do with Gibcus or if he'll ever be fit and healthy again.

It's good to have Blight and Young. I reckon Blight should be pushing for a starting defender role.
