This was the list of my non RFC Premiership players. Players in bold are now gone.

1) Kelvin Moore - needs to get on the park otherwise gone.

2) Brent Hartigan - contracted. 2007 is make or break.

8) Cam Howat - rookie

9) Luke McGuane - 2007 make or break.

11) Darren Gaspar - 1-2 years left. Is holding down FB until one of the young guys takes over. Apparently Thursfield is unlikely to do much in 2007.

12) Daniel Jackson - 2007 make or break. Where to play him?

13) Trent Knoble - spare ruck behind Simmo. Allows Patto time to develop if Simmo is ever out injured.

14) Nathan Foley - Good 2006 for a second year midfielder. He'll be given more time if he can keep improving.

15) Andrew Krakouer - Statistically Krak is improving each year but the Club's patience must be running out as he hasn't come on as fast as we would want. Inconsistency still a problem.

16) Greg Tivendale - Will continue to get a regular game until a number of youngsters pass him. At this stage he is still in our best 22 despite being a whipping boy for supporters.

17) Ray Hall - If Polak holds down CHB, Razor will need to find another position in 2007 to survive.

18) Shane Tuck - Needs to work on adding leg speed. It could be argued that Foley has moved in ahead of Tuck.

I'm confused.  How can Howat be classed as a rookie when he's played several senior games?

Julz,

Cam Howat started 2006 on our rookie list. Rookies can be promoted during the course of the season if a club has a player that suffers a long term injury. In Cam Howat's case he was promoted after Cogs was placed on the long term injury list and he palyer the last few games. He became a "promoted rookie"

At the end of the season the CLub has 2 choices - promote him permanently to the senior list or retain him on the rookie list for a 2nd season. In Cam's case the club have decided to retain him as a rookie for a 2nd year. He will be eligible to be promoted again if we have space on our senior list in 2007 - e.g. another long term injury etc

Same happened with Nathan Foley last year. Foley was then made a senior listed player in the off season, which could still happen to Howat if only 5 picks are used instead of 6.

True FF - they may wait until after the National Draft and say we'll forgoe the PSD - promote Howat because he is a better bet than anything on offer and then just concentrate on using the Rookie draft for picking a kids

Sounds like a good plan FF. If Howat is promoted that will give us space for an extra rookie. Whichever way we go there'll be nine new faces at Tigerland next year  :thumbsup.

aflinsider.net's view of our delistings:

Richmond

Kane Johnson told everyone what was happening but now it is official. But Kellaway, Roach and Rodan all have something to offer. Kellaway especially should be a player with a new team next season.

He's not apparently training with us according the papers but it's rumoured we may rookie list Limbach if no other club picks him up. I've noticed too that some Essendon fans seem keen on him. We have 2 rookie list spots free so if no one we fancy is left by pick 8 in the PSD we could promote Howat and then pick up 3 rookies with one being Limbach.

That's what Mopsy and I were talking about. Officially none of the Clokes are as you need permission for delisted players so if he was (god forbid  :help) it would have to be done behind the scenes. I've heard rumours Jason and Cameron have the Roos and Bombers respectively interested in them. As long as they aren't anywhere near Punt Rd then I'm happy lol.

For someone so injury prone it has to be only a 1 year deal surely  :-\.
