This is getting farcical.

Raines is an ordinary player at best ask the whole football world.

Raines will get an easier run out of defense with the bodies of Merret, Maguire etc blocking his passage through.

He wasn't great tonight Jack. Efficiency of 70 is par and had 3 clangers.

Drawing an amazingly low bow. Give me the pick that secured us Astbury every day of the week. Every day of the year for the rest of my life.

Raines =pick 35 which was Dea  I think., not Astbury, gets your facts right.
Ordinary players dont run second in rising stars either. ::)

What do you think of Polak pre accident he ran second in 2003?

Raines actually got us Pick 44, however it was Dea. If you are going to tell someone to get their facts right then you should probably make sure yours are.

Pick 35 or 44 or Astbury or Dea even Taylor, Nason < Raines.

Jack I can't believe your a fan of Raines, he tries to break the lines but 50% of the times gets caught and loses possession. He kicks long to contests which in this day in age is a positive to all oppositions as it gives a 50-50 chance of taking back possession.

Today's game is all about having the footy and keeping it.

No doubt? Based on what? Last nights game?
Pretty quick to say that jackie. David Rodan started well too..

Raines never had a problem picking up possessions but again last night in the 2nd half particularly he found himself running in to trouble.
His disposal in the first half was quite solid and he did do a good job on Betts I'll admit but as I said the 2nd half saw the same ol' errors as Carlton(hardly the leagues benchmark) came storming back. His kicking and decision making reverted to type.

If the Lions are going anywhere they would be looking to upgrade him IMO. Just as we did.
I expect he will be exposed over the coming weeks against quality sides and will be running around in the 2nds again soon enough.
We'll see I guess.

Thought Andrew got tired as the game went on.
Had interupted preseason through injury, so will only improve.

As for Dave Rodan, was slaughtered by Terry Wallace.
Dave  has recovered from knee reco and will play within 6 weeks  :thumbsup
