Jack's not quite back

Richmond's number one key forward, Jack Riewoldt, has had a similarly slow start to the season. His performance included a towering mark over champion Eagles defender Darren Glass and a team-lifting goal early in the final that gave the Tigers a four-point lead. But his confidence still looked down, and it sunk further when he missed a relatively simple chance to draw Richmond level with 3.26 remaining in the match.

And here's vision of Jack's speckie and goal from the 2nd quarter ...

Made huge steps today for regaining his confidence and mojo. Not there yet but that mark and goal was very promising. Hopefully next game he is back in all his glory.  :pray

Lethal gave Jack some 'advice' just now on 3aw ...

Don't wrestle.
Disengage with your opponent.
Lead hard up the ground.

Lloyd said it's harder for Jack to push up to the wing as happens in modern footy as he doesn't have the speed to get back into the forward 50.

would have though endurance would be more critical than speed when talking about getting back forward after pushing up the ground
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Good advice, but I don't want to see him leading too far up. When he takes the ball in the backline, it feels like he is getting in the way of things a little bit.

Really put his head down and attacked the footy after looking a bit sooky the first half, just as much a step in the right direction as stats  :clapping

Yep set up a goal with a hard attack at the contest and handball over the top.
