How many games have Coburg played so far? Make sure he plays 7 so he's eligible for the VFL finals.

I would wait until the Dreamtime game for his debut. MCG, biggish crowd and a weaker opponent and backline (compared to Adelaide). Right up his alley  :thumbsup.

as julz said, no point in waiting.

mick malthouse does not play games with his debutants and puts them str8 in the pressure games to see what they are made of.

jack will thrive at aami, under that kinda presssue

well...it is true that his form certainly warrants him to debut...no doubt about it...i still think hold him back one more week so he gets to play VFL in tassie and also debut in front of a massive dreamtime crowd at the G..reckon just the atmosphere would inspire him...he's made for the bigtime...

also....our tall forwards haven't really done anythign wrong anyway....cleve was a bit quite last week (not entirely his own fault...delivery wasnt' great either)but the previous 2 weeks played well with 3 goals each..
schulz presented and converted well last week...
let the SA boys play in adelaide..

bring jack back in against the Dons...preferably without dropping cleve, schulz nor richo.

What if it's Dreamtime at the G in torrential rain.

He won't be brought in unless there is an injury, suspension or Cleve has an absolute shocker against the Crows.

Richmond set to promote Jack Riewoldt
The Age
May 15, 2007 - 2:39PM

Richmond look set to promote Jack Riewoldt for Friday night's AFL clash with Adelaide after the teenager proved he was physically ready to play against men.

Riewoldt, the cousin of St Kilda star Nick, kicked five goals for the Tigers' VFL affiliate last weekend and is set to earn a spot in Richmond's senior side as they chase their first win.

Richmond coach Terry Wallace said Riewoldt, 18, was close to earning his debut.

"He's right up there, he's been an emergency and came over to Adelaide last weekend," he said.

"He's very very close. It will just be how we want to balance out our side and what the weather looks like doing."

Richmond chose Riewoldt with their No.13 pick in last year's national draft and Wallace is convinced the strong-marking, 192cm forward was ready to play against mature bodies given he had done so for a while in the VFL.

"He's ready. It's when we're ready to have him in now," Wallace said.

"He knocks on the door four times a day and asks whether it's this week and has even offered himself out as a ruckman to help us out there."

We'll be tall in the forward line with Jack, Sarge and Clever. I hope we don't drop Cleve after ineffectual game. He kicked 3 goals in each of his previous two games.

either move schulz to defence or start 1 of the bench and rotate the 3 young forwards throughout the match. theres absolutely no need to drop any of them.

good idea..no need to drop any of them...they're our future forward line...

i say start 1 on the bench and rotate depending on the game situation...i wouldn't move schulz to defence tho...he certainly belongs in the forward line
