Is it over?

What spin did he give us today?  :shh

For a start tigersalive I'm not picking on you, but merely making a comment here on a false perception that has subtley been creeping in on our supporter base through the antagonistic attitude of a small minority of our pretendered supporters.

This false perception is that Wallace is a spin doctor, now isn't that a lovely nice clean term for the word "rubbish artist" because that's what these antagonists are trying to convince us of. Their trying to convince us that Terry Wallace is a rubbish artist and that we should not trust him or anything he says. In actual fact these people would pretty much love for us to lynch Wallace and to get rid of him. Fantastic isn't it.

The truth of the matter is that Wallace is probably one of the best and most articulate communicators in the coaching ranks of AFL level, because he has this ability does NOT make him a spin doctor. When he came to the club we were all so relieved that we now had a person who could more than adequately communicate to the press and the supporters in relation to the activities of the club. Wallace is light years in front of anybody we have had at the club for a long long time in this capacity and the antagonists know this just as much as we do and they hate it.

Wallace has been very good, he's been more transparent than any other coach i have ever seen. If Wallace is a spin doctor (which he isn't) then I would hate to think of what Sheedy, Malthouse and ad infinitum are. Wallace IS a great communicator and we should be thankfull that is one area of our club that we DONT need to fix.

First and foremost I'm a supporter of the Richmond Football Club, not everyone who's on the field or in the coaches box and will be critical as I feel, especially of a man who was signed up on massive money with a "5 year plan."

I've been a supporter of Terry and his media friendliness as it gives us good exposure since our President is a hermit most of the time and our captain isnt much better.

However its annoyed me lately that as said earlier he kept saying Brownie was right, when as it turned out he clearly wasnt and Simmonds wont be back until round 4 imo but Terry will keep saying next week.  I'm just getting frustrated.

Terry needs to stop the antics, if we arent good enough for the 8, say so.

Show us some kind of game plan they've been working on.

Drag anyone who constantly chips to make an example.

Drop Tambling and bring up a real worker like King and let Tambling know he's not a protected species.

Just some idea for him.  ;)

Great post.
He has been there 3 years and the game plan is crap.
He has guys like Raines and Bowden kicking 35 metres each time sideways I might add when they are the best kicks in the club, now you want to talk game plan, it was like BLIND MICE on sunday.
I have some knowledge of the game and what I have seen for the past 2 years is rubbish!. If supporters want to see finals football you wont be seeing it with play like this, i can ensure you of that

More like DUMB MICE Jack. Joel's kicks were perfectly on target on the weekend. Problem was the target was Fev  :help. It says something when the Tiger with the most effective kicks was Tivs lol.

Terry needs to stop the antics, if we arent good enough for the 8, say so.

I believe he already has :shh

 :rollin

Fair enough he gets bagged for telling porkies about injured players but he got bagged for being actually being honest about us being not good enough yet.

I agree with that, but you've got to remember TA, it's all about selling memberships. I would be surprised if there is not a clause in Wallace's contract that gives him a bonus based on the amount of members, Frawley had it. That's why Wallace hid it IMO. The Paul Maley incident directing the coach not to use 'negative' language a couple of years ago revealed who's running the show at footy clubs these days.

hehe, with all the membership cards I saw flying down the players race, he probably owed the club money!

Oh Terry, blaming the grounds for the injuries ::)
Players say they have had the ""guts"" trained out of them :whistle

Have to disagree with you hear - if the media bothered to play the entire question he was asked and his entire answer - you will find he was talking about the effect on all clubs not just the RFC

And to be honest he is right - some of the grounds are not at an appropriate standard. Whether we like it or not we are talking about very highly paid athletes here and the AFL have a duty of care to ensure all grounds are at least to minimum standard - currently they are not. Obviously the water restrictions have had a huge impact

Didnt know he'd actually come out and categorically said it.

It's a start I suppose.

Jack - I think the question needs to be asked - why do you have such a chip on your shoulder? Why are you so anti-Wallace?

There must be more to this - did he "wrong" you in some way? Did he sack you from a job?

Because the way you are behaving is a lot  like an ex-lover or ex-husband behaves when they've split up acrimoniously..... that is, they have a lot of bitterness and nothing good to say at all, and they never let a chance go by to stick the boot in. In the end, everybody loses, including the perpetrator.

Whatever it is that is bothering you, move on, and relax and enjoy your footy.

And it's not just Jackstar...some other people seem to be posting on issues relating to the club, coach and players with a lot of bitterness and bias that is out of proportion to the current situation. There is most definitely a lack of proportion and balance in many of the things I've read.

Im sorry i missed most of this thread, hadnt really noticed it, what a pee-er of a thread lol. Anyway, look we lost lets get on with it, I was most disappointed to but time to move on, things i want 2 see, Deledio running more and when the team goes 27 points up- i dont want to see that tempo crap- that is not finals football- thats football you do 1 or 2 times a year- last year it was almost every round, and if we wanna get to be a serious football side we shouldnt be doing it often.

Tempo footy - I reckon you should only do that with 5 minutes to go

Tempo footy is about trying to change and then control the momentum of the game. The problem was on Sunday we had the momentum when we slowed the game down. We did Carlton a favour and let them back into the game.

He wouldn't be the only person involved with the footbal department at punt road that
doesn't believe The tiges have it right.

We're the same as the frawley years.

If u expect anything, you obviously haven't appraised our predicament yet.

We completely rabbleised.
