Tonight's segment on Richmond:
* Nice for a change to have the media bag another club (GWS) and their lack of player development for delisting and letting a good player (Miles) end up at Richmond.
* Lyon still hasn't got over Scully walking out of Melbourne to go to GWS and put up a stat showing Miles is well ahead of Scully in avg. disposals, avg. kicks, clearances and contested footy. They also included a stat showing that Miles earns around $430 per disposal compared to Scully's $3,300. So Miles is value for money. Caro said she expects Miles to sign a new two-year deal in a couple of weeks time.
* On Richmond as a team specifically, Lloyd said there's definitely be a change in their gameplan from earlier in the season to now. He showed vision of the Swans game with the continually chipping of the ball sideways and backwards. He mentioned in that game Richmond scored 1 goal from 250 possessions (in the last half and a bit). In his opinion, Jack Riewoldt was right and Richmond was trying to emulate Hawthorn and it wasn't working. In the last 6 weeks, Richmond have gone back to that hard contested footy and moving the ball quickly that they do best and it's working for them. Lloyd showed another clip from Friday night of Houli, from the kick-in, kicking long to Griffiths who kicks long to Jack on the wing; Jack then turns quickly and goes long inside forward 50 giving Lids a 1-on-1 marking contest which sets up the first goal of the night and gets Lids on his way.
