News/rumour around today on SEN and on BF that Lion Jed Adcock wants to come home.
Not the type of player we need and you don't trade for BPs.

I'd be happy to take him with pick 35, or PSD 1 if nothing better on offer. He'd be more than useful.

:o :o

He is worth a late first rounder.  No doubt about it.  Was extremly unlucky not to get in the  AA team imo.

I'm not knocking him as a player tigersalive and yes his market value would be very high but you don't pay for a small defender even a very good one with a top 20 pick. Top 20 picks should be for quality onballers and KPPs.

Fair call but I reckon GB's suggestion of 35 is far under market price for him.  Would command our priority for sure.

Actually spent most of 2007 as a running midfielder and will finish top 5 in lions B&F.. Also kicked four goals in the midfield against Collingwood,

Safe to say that Jed has outgrown the back pocket

Brock McLean and Pick 4 -> Richmond
Pick 2, 35 -> Melbourne

Pick 2 and a player -> West Coast
Judd -> Melbourne

Melbourne can't come to terms...we already have McLean...Judd enters PSD

We end up with McLean, Judd and Pick 4, 18, 19 :lol :thumbsup

I can dream  :rollin
My parents bought me a Richmond jumper and enrolled me in a junior footy clinic in 1981...look at me now.

You're right bateman. It was wrong calling him just a BP. I would call him more a running defender who can run forward. A bit like Gram from the Saints. In a couple of games each year hurts oppositions on the rebound and snags a few goals. It probably sounds as I don't think much of Adcock when I really do think he's a good footballer. Hey he should have got AA. If he was available in the PSD and there was no Judd then I would wrapt if we got him. That's not what I'm getting at. I just think those roles are more easily replacable than a ballwinning onballer or a KPP and so you don't give away top 20 picks in exchange for running outside players no matter how good they are. Just my opinion.

Ruckmen musical chairs in the papers today:

Ruckman Ben Hudson (28 y.o.) wants out of the Crows. The Bulldogs are willing to offer him a 3-year contract as a replacement for Luke Darcy. The Dogs are willing to offer picks and players (Jordan McMahon) if a trade also includes Ken McGregor who also wants out of Adelaide.

Hudson leaving has put pressure on Adelaide to keep young ruckman Meesen who was considered on his way to Carlton.

Another ruckman Lion Cameron Wood (20 y.o.) may also want out. Before Hudson's decision to quit, the Lions wanted Mitch Hahn plus a pick from the Dogs. Now Wood may return home to SA for the Crows first pick (pick 10). The Lions want a top 10 pick or a seasoned player plus a mid-20s pick for Wood.

I don't know. No-one seems to know.

On Demonland forum, someone said he is.

Murphy is best friends with Browny but it's hard to believe so many top players want out all at once and want to come to Richmond. Where's free agency when you need it  ;D.
