Cotch talking about the importance of having Tross back in the backline ...

----------------------------------------------------------------

“’Rancey’ is one of our directors down there (in defence),” Cotchin said.

“He makes sure that guys are playing their role, especially in the back half, but also with the midfield.

“He’s always talking to us and trying to direct us to the most dangerous space for the opposition.

“It was great to have him back.  I know that the other key backs were very happy to have him back.”

As proud custodian of the number 18 guernsey, think it is appropriate that Rance tosses the coin this week as an extra mark of respect to Tom Hafey.

Tom Hafey wore number 18, its significance should never be forgotten

Thanks WP! Couldn't remember that far back!
Indeed he should toss the coin.  :clapping
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Might be worth posting in the RFCO thread. Good suggestion.  :clapping

He is good. But if he didn't fall over he'd be closer to elite.

Chaplin is not the player Rance was praying for as it turns out. Feel sorry for him not only defending his man all day but trying to defend Chaplins man as well. Runs himself into the ground every game whilst Chaplin looks as fresh as a daisy after every game :banghead

Goes in risking injury continually while others are standing back watching twiddling thumbs

Rance is underrated by many of our supporters. He is one of the best key position defenders going around in the competition. He's a Richmond player of substance, cant say the same for many of his teammates who are just pretenders.
