Well he limped off in the last quarter and we saw his knee all wrapped up later but it can't be too bad as it's not mentioned on the injuries.

We saw the players getting onto the team pass and Mini-me thinks Rance is a bit of a spunk yells out to him "love ya Rance" to which she was rewarded with a lovely smile.  She then wished him a speedy recovery and got another smile and a thanks.  Made her night.

Haha great stuff, the girls do love Rance.

Not mine, Kingy's her man.   :-*

No fanfare as young Tigers grow

Rance said becoming more familiar with the demands of playing at AFL level had been important in their development.

"I think that has a lot to do with it, but I don't think we can take anything away from the coaching staff," he said. "They've been fantastic this year, giving us the confidence to play at the highest level and backing us in."

For Rance, selected with pick 18 in the 2007 NAB AFL Draft, and Vickery, pick eight in 2008, it has been a gradual process of learning their craft.

"I'm starting to get a lot better understanding and knowledge as to what's required of me and what my role is in the side," Rance said.

"'Leppa' (backline coach Justin Leppitsch) has been really good with me, helping me with a lot of my body stuff and the technical side of things, so I've improved a lot this year."

Well Done To Alex Rance

This young bloke has copped a god awful hiding in the forums in all forums over the last 2 years but he seems to have come through. Yesterday, when most of his team mates where going to water and looking for the ground exits at about 2.20pm this kid hung around and gave his all until the end of the game. He isnt a great player, but he is capable and at least he plays for the jumper. He may not have many fans but hes winning alot of respect from those of us who respect players who play for the jumper, for himself, for his team, for the supporters. Well done to Alex. Hes someone you keep at the club because you know atleast he is fair dinkum.  :cheers

Rance was outstanding yesterday. His attitude was brilliant. I have been critical of him in the past but he stood up unlike so many other players.

+1 still has a way to go, But I admire his guts and the fact he has put his head down to work hard.
I wish it would rub off on a couple of his peers

He's determined to improve his game in all areas. Yesterday he took some nice overhead marks which was a bit of a weakness in the past. He got beaten in a couple of marking contests in the 3rd quarter yesterday but he'll keep improving. Post also did well for the first half while in defence then played some ruck in the second half but probably spent a quarter on the bench too. Both will be long term defenders I'm sure. Grimes and Astbury will be there too

I like Rance as he is developing. Will get better when others mature around him like Grimes, Astbury, Post, Batchelor and add in the experience of Moore, Newman and Lids, Rance will become a very good defender. A major problem at the moment is we have been very unsettled down back all year due to injury's to key players it has not allowed us to have a settled back six.

maybe maybe not but I give Rance credit for giving 100% effort. cant say that for many of his mates yesterday. Id rather have a player like Rance in the side than some of the prima donnas with big reputations who never deliver when you need them too.

In the final quarter when most others had packed it in, Rance was the one who called the backs into a group, several times, and tried to keep them working together.

First half was on Walker. Beat him, which is expected because he's 2 inches taller. He struggle a bit on Waite in the 2nd half though. Post did well on Waite in the 1st half
