Didn't watch the game thankfully.

Was Rance pantsed or just had no chance because of the midfield?

About 30% the former, 70% the latter....

Liked the look of in JLT week three ....... Alex Rance (Richmond)

When a side's best player has hamstring tendinitis during the pre-season, it's reason to worry. However, Rance showed there wouldn't be any issues. Having established himself as the best backman in the game over the past three years, he returned against Port Adelaide and marshalled the defence to perfection. Charlie Dixon had just six disposals but more important than that was Rance's ability to work off his man and read the ball in the air. He is critically important to Richmond because he offers so much support to his fellow defenders and he showed there shouldn't be any lapse in form in 2017. - Dinny Navaratnam

As awesome as Alex is - He hasn't completely eradicated the "Alex Rance moments " from his game . Nearly coughed up a goal in the dying minutes yesterday.  Fortunately no harm no foul.

I'm willing to concede him one goal per game MaT as he usually saves about 15

Didn't help that Astbury was useless and Rance had to do it all again on his own.

Astbury looks like he has an ear infection or an amputated great toe, he's so ungainly and just can't change direction at all...

As much as we are lite on for KPP at the moment we should be thankfully we have 2 of the very best in the league playing for us.
Both Rance and Jack are out and out stars of the game.
Add Dusty, in the conversation as one of the best players in the comp, and Cotch our Brownlow Medalist, we have 4 stars.
I just hope our B and C graders can improve enough to take us where we belong to be.

That game on Monday night was one of the best wins I've seen in awhile.

The things that qualify as news these days ...

Ripped football star reveals his secret to his bulging biceps and toned abs - and it DOESN'T involve endless hours in the gym

AFL star Alex Rance offers insight on how football stars manage to look muscular
The Richmond defender said the secret wasn't endless hours in the gym
However hinted at a minor wardrobe change each year to enhance buff image

Richmond Tigers star Alex Rance has revealed his secret to having bulging biceps - and it's a lot easier than you may think.

AFL stars may have some of the most grueling fitness regimes in sport, yet one small hack is the key ingredient to a flawless physique, according to the Tigers stalwart.

The 27-year-old appeared on Nova 100 and revealed the trivial trade secret when questioned on just how he maintains such an impressive body.

'Smaller shirts, that's the real secret,' the Perth born star confessed.

'Every year you go through your career you buy smaller and smaller equipment.'

When asked if bicep curls were still the climax of a tough session in the gym, he revealed a change in regime for modern footballers.

'They're very much frowned upon, there's no beach weights done these days.'

The three time All-Australian pick will look to take his toned torso into this week's round of fixtures as Richmond face Fremantle after a promising start to the season.

One third of the way through the 2017 home-and-away rounds, Rance is ranked a clear No. 1 for one-percenters (knock-ons, spoils, smothers, shepherds) in the competition.

After finishing with 14 one-percenters against Fremantle at the MCG last Sunday, he now has a total of 91 in eight games, which is 16 ahead of his nearest rival, Port Adelaide’s Thomas Jonas.

Well he might not be the best KPD in the league according to some experts but at least he does the little things

Seems to have been losing his footing again a bit this year, but as usual is his reliable self.

Still livid that we didn't address KPP stocks last off-season. Astbury has actually looked OK but nowhere near consistently enough and every time he gets the ball I poo myself. Grimes on the other hand has been good as usual this year and I thought very much did his part last weekend.
