Just checked the Red Wings' first 4 games since it starts in 2 days after the lengthy season cancellation (good thing the AFLPA and AFL came to agreement in the CBA lol) and since the Lions have been disappointing.. have the Preds first up who knocked us out of the 11/12 playoffs, then the Kings, Islanders and Blue Jackets. Will probably be 3-1  :banghead :banghead No surprises with the Pistons either  ::)

Not sure where you got that info from dwaino, just checked the NHL page on CBS Sports and they are saying the strike is still on and more games have been cancelled  :-\ :huh

Strike was from 11 Oct to 14 Dec according to Red Wings news feed. They've had tickets on sale for the Preds game  :huh http://redwings.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=646227

Unless the cancellation is has been extended?

Seahawks v Cardinals replay

Lynch is unstoppable this season.

He's a freaking monster, so hard to tackle, he's like a more athletic Jonah Lomu - scary poo

Plays as an effective blocker on obvious passing plays too. Bloke is a gun.

From CBS Sports:

NHL lockout: NHL cancels games through Dec. 30
By Brian Stubits | Blogger
December 10, 2012 11:08 am ET

As expected, the NHL canceled another round of games, those scheduled Dec. 15-30 on Monday. The league made the announcement after a report earlier in the day from TSN's Darren Dreger.

The move is perhaps overdue, seeing how the league's last cancellation left games on the schedule as soon as this coming Friday. But after talks broke off Thursday, we knew there was no way it would be possible for a season to begin that quickly.

Stating the obvious, it also means the hopes for games to be played in 2012 aren't totally gone. After all, they could play games on New Year's Eve.

This latest cancellation brings about a couple of questions. Is the fact that the NHL decided to go with only two weeks -- instead of four weeks and into the middle of January -- a good sign? The case can definitely be made. If there were zero optimism that a deal could get done, they might have taken a bigger chunk of the schedule. Then again, the NHL's M.O. during this lockout has typically been to cancel two weeks at a time, so this doesn't deviate a whole lot from the script.

Ok again for the 2nd year running it comes down to the Steelers game to make sure of a playoff spot..   :pray stuff i hope its a better result than last year..

Although Bengals looked ordinary in the 1st half the 2nd was dominant, lets hope it holds up after a 10 day break

Yes - must beat the Steelers this week to have a chance for a Wild Card playoff game

i would almost go as far to say that they need to win 1 of the next 2..  Steelers and Ravens...  Going to be a tough gig but they have been in form and both the Steelers and Ravens have lost form, particularly the Steelers.  Fingers crossed. If they win both they're a chance at the AFC north title..   Thats why it was so gut wrenching to lose to the cowboys

My thought is the Bengals have a huge mental barrier to cross.  If they do, they could go deep into the playoffs

The NFL has directed the club to send out invoices for a home final....  Who Dey
