apparently Gillard will be announcing something tomorrow as per the Hun today...just win the damn game.
"I will be making an announcement with Richmond Football Club before the game."

Most likely it's got nothing to do with this rumour but more the federal government money for the Indigenous academy and Punt Rd Oval revamp will be handed over to the RFC.

Is it Tiger Airlines as a new sponsor ?
Nup as Tiger Airlines competes with official sponsor Qantas so the AFL would prevent it.

I think if Singapore airlines, their parent company who is an international airline like Emirates, sponsors us they can then use the Tiger name as one of their global brands.

Tiger Airlines are still in the domestic market though and I'm pretty sure Qantas has exclusive rights domestically as part of their contract with the AFL.

Yep but it's classed as an international airline so they get away with it  ::). It also helps the Pies when you've got Andy D being chummy with Eddie and watching the footy together as they did last night at the dome  :whistle

this is the biggest load of poo i tell ya.
its called qantas airlines not qantas domestic airlines so i see no fricken difference if the pies use emirates and we use tiger.

after all tiger is an international airline also...used throughout south east asia.

eddie and ad are best of mates from what i seen last night and the pies get away with murder

Wouldnt think it would be Tiger Airlines, They have recently CUT routes in Australia. You might find Melb to Darwin they have cut back on because of fuel costs

Tiger Airlines CAN sponsor Punt Rd Oval though. I believe there were some overtures made to them.
In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

Just as an aside, Tiger Airlines has boosted its presence in Melbourne today. Announced more maintenance jobs etc.
