Did you sedate them to get that photo?!  ;D

You're the 3rd person who's asked me that in the last couple of days  ;D

and the answer is NO

Just very good luck  ;)

Very sorry to hear about Misty MT.

WP, your new addition is simply gorgeous.

On my home front, several times I've been in tears thinking I've got to put down my 17.5 year old cat Gizmo (see avatar) but she's constantly proving there's still a lot of life left in her.  Last year she had a mammory tumour which she had surgery on and proved to be larger than 3cm which normally means a life expectancy of 6 months.  A year later she gets another one but the vet was trialling some wonder drug and suggested she was a good candidate for it.  They inject the drug into the tumour (they had to do this twice) and two months later she is tumour free - the thing just shrivelled up and fell off.  Then she gets something like meningitis where she was dragging her back legs a bit and wobbly on her feet (no, it wasn't a tick) and I didn't have the funds to do a full neurological test on her, so the vet has put her on medication and she's slowly getting better.  Each time she gets sick I think this is it but the way she puts up a fight at the vet and still rules the roost at home, proves me wrong.

What an angel .......................  :nope :yep :nope :yep :nope

NOT  :rollin

YOUR DOG looks like a fire bug who sets some joint alight and then rocks up 20 minutes later to ask the firefighter if they need help lol. She looks a bit shifty I reckon, nevertheless all your 3 dogs seem good dogs lol.

We've decided to give a little budgie a good home. His name is Sunshine (Sunny for short) and he's 7 weeks old.

Davey has a poodle that looks like it has a stash of magazines wrapped in brown paper bags. Creepy dog that one, hey Davey.

I had to make the extremely hard decision today and have my beloved Gizmo, who features in my avatar, put to sleep.  She was 18.5 years old :'(

always a hard decision to make Julz, as it's easy to be influenced by our loss rather than what is best for the animal.

18.5 years is a good run though.

Marjorie Garber said this about dogs, but it really could be any pet.

"If you have a dog, you will most likely outlive it; to get a dog is to open yourself to profound joy and, prospectively, to equally profound sadness."
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

My doggie is 15 yrs 2 months
She is battling on with lots of health issues
Last time I took her to the vet I thought I might have to put her down
But she wasn't in any pain, just everything seems to be packing up
So they said just take her home and love her, which I'm doing.
But she still goes on, has a good appetite, but all her fur is falling out, she keeps on falling over and can't get herself up
So when I do have to make a decision, it'll be a hard one
But I guess, like Julz, it'll be a decision with her best interests at heart.
It breaks your heart
Silly me is crying as I type this lol
