They only included what they considered "misses" so Lids, Cotch and rookies weren't put up in the graphic. Everyone carries on about 2004 but it was the 2005 draft that really hurt Plough. Gus (rookie) and Whitey (PSD) may give us something from that year in the long run but it was a disaster of a National draft. We had too few picks to begin with for a rebuilding club so we couldn't afford any mistakes in selections. In the end all 3 selections have been misses so effectively it was a missed draft. 14 of the top 20 that year have cemented themselves now in their club's best 22. We were on of the few clubs who struck out  :P.

Brief Summary

* Walls was critical of Jacko making public his thoughts on who should be the next coach. Richo said it's better as a player not to get involved in who the club chooses as coach.

* Walls believes the Richmond Board genuinely doesn't know yet who'll be coach next year and will go through the process.

* Richo has no doubt Joel Bowden will work hard at Coburg and be back. Anthony Hudson brought up Joel is 3rd in disposals yet 13th or something around that mark in tackles. Richo wouldn't comment on why Joel was dropped.

* Richo didn't get into the rooms after the game for the song because he didn't have an official player/club official pass lol.

* Jackson would be leading our B&F. He was our best performer over preseason winning all the runs. He's obviously got himself big and strong now and is reaping the benefits. They showed a graphic of all Jacko's opponents and scalps - from Judd, Selwood, Cooney, Pavlich and then Kerr on Saturday night.

* Richo said Cuz is teaching our young guys to be selfless. If you work hard off the ball for the team you'll be rewarded. Richo said Cuz has outshone even Richo's expectations being a team player. You always knew Ben was a team player as an opponent but you don't get a full insight into how much he is until you see it first hand. On current form you'd think he'll go round again next year. Richo said Ben always has a footy in his hands - at team meetings, etc - everywhere. That probably explains why he has such good ballskills. Walls said Buckley was the same. Walls said he wishes Ben well but he wouldn't have taken Ben in the first place if he was Richmond as we won't be a top 4 side over the next 4-5 years and as a 31 year old he's obviously taking the spot of a young kid who is part of the future.

* They showed vision of Cuz walking into the Dome and the changerooms and looking up at the camera and having a wry grin on his face.

* Richo saw the surgeon today and he was rapt with how the hammy is going. It's now expected Richo will play the last 3-4 weeks of the season. He's progressing well with the running and working on a bit of acceleration now. A final decision on next year won't be made until the end of the season.

Geez Wallsy, don't you see the value that Cousins is having on the kids we have??

We have an elite mid-fielder teaching our boys how to play in the middle!!

Exactly.
Saw Ben having a chat to Jacko in the rooms just before they ran out Sat night, it was reasonable to think he was telling Dan how to play Kerr......and it worked.
In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

Richo said he's ahead of schedule in his comeback. He's expecting to be back around round 18 where he'll play first up with Coburg. He's been sprinting for the past 7 days and so far so good with the hammy.

As far as playing on next year he just has to first wait to see how he gets through the last few rounds this season and then what is happening with the Club (re: new coach).
