If it was anyone else those passes off would be labelled unselfish.   :sleep

And there was at least 3 of them that directly resulted in scores, mostly goals.

EXACTLY. JON HAD GREAT INFLUENCE ON THE GAME AND RESULT WITH HIS LIMITED DISPOSAL.
sure he made a couple of kicking blunders, but what about his fantastic repeat efforts to make up for it. Jon has attitude and i like him, he needs a little bit of time, he looks awkward so what, he has size, he is quick and mark my words, give the kid time to develop his body and he is the next adam goodes. watch this space!

as soon as he has the confidence in himself and his spot , those lilttle errors he makes will vanish!

well done jon

It really does seem like some people want others to fail. It's like it's some pathetic validation of their all seeing all knowing football "intelligence".

Dont want anyone to fail.
I want to see great footballers playing in the yellow and black.
JON should of kicked 3 goals last night and he didnt,
He could of stamped himself on the game,.
The problem is he cant kick and is found out with poor disposal at AFL level.
would of been better for him to kick 3 goals last night

Not on his back at all.
Not my fault he cant kick.
Why play him as  a hit -up forward when he gets the ball  35 metres out directly in front , he wants to pass it FFS. :banghead :banghead :banghead
GO BACK AT KICK THE GOAL.
Mitch Morton and Reiwoldt dont have any issue  having shorts from 40-50 metres. straight in front
JON plays besides them and doesnt want to kick a goal :banghead PLEASE

Dare I say it...but I thought JON provided a little spark last night. He deserves to hold his place in the team next week.

Disagree with this bit Jack.  One of Reiwoldt's 'current' faults is his lack of confidence and if you notice whenever he gets the ball 40+mts out he is always looking to pass off - might help explain his below standard conversion - I cringe every time I see any player look sideways as they are coming in to kick at goal.

My 2 bob on JON:

He showed enough to deserve a second chance.  In the past he has disappointed each time he has played seniors but last night there seemed to be 'something' to suggest he is worth another crack.  I liked some of the things he did - he still made some mistakes - but happy for him to front up again next week.  And to qualify this - I am not a JON fan and deep down I'm not convinced he will make it - but I don't want the club to die wondering.  Nahas did very little in his first crack but given a second chance and allowing for development and confidence he has shown some very good signs.  After last night's game JON, at the very least, deserves that.

Can't kick Jack...that's why he hit those targets with pin point accuracy in the forward 50!!!! You're right that Jack R doesn't mind having a shot...pity about his accuracy this year!

I know you're not a fan of Jarrad's (along with many other RFC 'supporters') but credit where credit's due...he gave us something last night...some spirit that's been sadly missing this year!

I had to stop watching at 3/4 time to go out, but every pass he made inside the forward 50 went to a player in a better position and none of them were turnovers. The only turnover I saw of his was getting smothered when running through the centre square.

I have to agree with Jak on a couple of things.

He should have kicked a couple BUT dished off due to lack of confidence, not cos he has poo disposal.

What i cant uinderstand is why the club has persisited with him for so long - he's done nothing.

Lets Face it,if he wasn't black he'd be GAWN.

thats why players like Schulz and Simmo should never get game time again till they put together a month of solid footy at Coburg.

i dont care if its Nahas, Jon or Connors. we need to play the kids and if those players cant play consistent footy then see you later

from what i saw last night i would rather play JON then Schulz. At least JON is always looking like he is trying

Yep he did.  He had a red hot go unlike some others in previous weeks.
Hope he can keep it up  :thumbsup
