Richmond Pick 47:

Jamie Solly

Undersized Key Forward/Ideally a 3rd Forward or Flanker
Height: 190cm
Weight: 90kgs

Perfect replacement for Troy Taylor if so. Fabulous set of hands and is one of the few elite kicks for goal in the Championships with a return of 11.1, including a 6 goal haul against Northern Territory.

His worth is in his aerial work and shot for goal but also his work rate up the field and ability to hit targets easily inside 50.

In 2009 - a bottom age he scored 22 goals in 11 games for Port in the U/18s.
This year 2010, he only played 2 games for Port but managed 8 goals in those 2 games. Reasons unknown? Maybe injured? School?

Likened type to Nathan Fyfe. Will not last to 47 in Thursdays Draft. Can play.
Go Tigers!

Pick 48 - Essendon:

Jake Batchelor- Dandenong Stringrays
DOB: 13/2/92
Ht: 187cm
Wt: 82Kgs

B&F winner at the Stringrays in 2010. Played mainly as a rebounding defender. Good hands, reads the play extremely well and is considered a terrific player one on one.

Lets do some analysis on how our draft compared to the real one.

Conca went at 23 to the Cats
Atley made top 10 as Conca wasn't picked in our top 10
I snapped up Isaac Smith in round 2 (27) whereas he went to the Hawks in Round 1 (19)
Jack Darling Making top 10 in ours but ending up going as a round 2 Priority pic at 26 to the Eagles.
The biggest mover was Dion Prestia going at 34 in ours and ending up top 10 (9) in the real draft. A top value pickup for Wayne there.

Any other surprises?
