I actually have met him in a social enviroment , in a pub with the other coaches, Wasnt impressed at all, thought he was a dope was my first impression. smoke hanging out of his gob, pot in the other,  I thought at the time, gee we really need this as an assistant.
He didnt inspire me at all,.
I call it as I see it.
You can see why the likes of Sheedy , Parkin and Matthews were successful, they inspire players to walk tall.

So I can make a call on a person if I have met them in a "social environment"  ;D

So therefore, I can say I've met Sheedy in a "social environment" (which I have) and I wasn't impressed thought he was away with the pixies to be honest ... I call it as I see it... on that occassion he didn't inspire me at all  ;D

The Axe is nearly finished  ;D
all the knobs are cleaned out

How can an axe fall on someone when they have actually quit  ??? ::) ;D

Dont let the facts get in the way of a good story,WP ;)

Maybe, but it goes back many years. Time to rebuild (players and coaches) and not half rebuild by toping up with players good or bad from other clubs.

We were actually speaking about football. wasnt impressed one bit., thats my opinion and obviously its been proven correct,
Made a complete "'goose "" of himself when he ranted on about him loving the players and club etc.
Better to keep your mouth shut one would think.
You will find he quit as putting it a nice way as there wasnt a position there him.

Furthermore, OUR FOOTBALL CLUB HAS BEEN A FAILURE. Gettting rid of non performers or people who AINT up to it is a step forward.
I find it staggering people sticking up for people as they like them ::)
Football is a cut throat business, in which the RFC has FAILED badly in the past 25 years.

might hurt the Raines trade??
Rawlings might alert the lions to a couple of andrews imperfections..

I was hoping the opposite.

Rawlings alerts them to Schulz, Pattison, JON and Hughes who have been wasting away in the VFL despite having enormous potential....  :pray

not to mention the fact that he was making comment about players contracts(Richo & Bowden) etc etc as if the job was his.

i couldn't believe people were fooled by his coaching skills with those wins against hacks like Demons and Eagles.

How did you come to that conclusion, that you've been proven correct

Are you 100% sure about that (I think I am supposed to put one of these  ;) here at this point)

If you are not involved at the club how would you possibly know?

I find it staggering people sticking up for people as they like them ::)

Now that is really funny as you do it on a regular basis

I'm disappointed he has left. I was hoping he could work with Hardwick, continue in his Coburg role and focus on development.

If though, he would have made Hardwicks role more difficult or compromised the coach in any way then I can understand the move.

Stripes

Just curious as to why would people would think if he stayed he should have gone back to coaching Coburg?

Find it interesting

I think he was making a fair fist of coaching at Coburg with the younger team especially.  There was some obvious rapport and respect and in this developmental aspect I think he was ok.  Only time will tell if he has what it takes to make it as a successful coach but I would have been more than happy for him to move back to Coburg in the role he had - with a new game plan to work with he would have been worth keeping imho.

Yep, we seen the rapport and respect he had with the playing group in the last 4 rounds of 2009 ::)

WRONG,
I actually stick up for people that I  have worked with and respect and learnt from. I dont let personal views get in the way of performance.

Thanks Jade enjoy the Lions, although I think you could have departed a little better than you did.

lol! just funny how Jade is going to Brisbane ... where Raines wants to go!

and if it wasn't for Jade, Raines would still be at Richmond!

Jade was the one who said Raines wasn't up to AFL standard coming back from injury!

lol! i wonder if Raines is considering not to go to Brisbane now?

Jade Rawlings said too much full stop.
After all, he was just a caretaker coach.
He fixed a few careers up in his short time

primarily i see a spoilt, petulant group of athletes who have been able to fire their coach at random or at best, hide behind excuses rather than accept their position as senior, professional athletes playing for a struggling team.

Part of the culture problem imo....

The ability if the coach until now has been secondary overall, in assessing the teams true desire or lackof to represent the rfc.

Ben Cousins has done a lot to change things for the better - ironic aint it !
