According to Halfstep he "was ok today, without being great..."

Actually agree with Dimma here. Think the commentators got carried away with his game. First time he's had less than 10 cp's in a while I think and a few shanks by foot.

Good game for most but an ok game by his standards lately.

Pfft...Halfstep and his C/P obssession....swatting the Brisbane midfield like flies, setting up half our goals and clearly being BOG by the length of Bass Strait not good enough.....KPI's on the stat sheet not met....

Dusty improves his Brownlow Medal chances

Hardwick demanded a strong performance from Dustin Martin after correctly predicting he would receive the attention of in-form tagger Mitch Robinson. Although Robinson left the ground early in the second term after being concussed, Martin had already gathered eight disposals in the first quarter and the Lion didn't appear to bother him. It opened up for Martin even more after Robinson was injured. Daniel Rich spent much of the remainder of the contest matched up on Dusty, but he was clearly outpointed by the fend-off expert, who finished with 35 disposals in a best on ground performance that will likely see him pick up three votes from the umpires.

Trade while he still has value.
Too many outside of the foot kicks.
Misses easy goals.
Sure he is a raging bull but footy is not exclusively brute force.

Need some finesse, and some outside.

We should be targeting blokes like, Ben Sinclair, Dennis Armfield, Sam Wright or Rohan Bail.

LIKES

1. Dustin Martin

That’s three BOGs in his past four games and is anyone looking for a smokie for the Brownlow? Against the Lions, and probably with only Jack Riewoldt challenging for best afield, Martin had a game-high 35 disposals, 24 uncontested possessions, 729 metres gained, 10 inside 50s, and also recorded 10 score involvements, third most of any player on the ground. He is another Patrick Dangerfield in so many aspects including being a better kick of the ball.
