May as well play it in SA
Apparently Dusty doesn’t want to talk to the fan base anyway
And he most definitely doesn’t want the attention

You can’t have it both ways as sookie supporters

1- he doesn’t want to do an interview .. majority sook that it’s even expected and he doesn’t owe us anything etc

2- he doesn’t want attention etc .. but nah stuff that Dusty, we demand the 300th be at the MCG so we can all turn up and show you the attention you don’t want as a way of saying thank you to our modern day champion

Talk about hypocritical

If Dusty really wants less attention on his 300th

Then playing this week is exactly what should happen

He'll want it in front of the Tiger fans.

Just doesn't want to be interviewed and hounded by media.

Will he want the media circus all this week and next  ?

If this was Cotch or Jack or Richo as examples

MCG a must

I just don’t see how it fits with the Dusty personality we are seeing

Richmond will postpone it for obvious reasons
Merchandise sales and gate revenue will be through the roof

But the way people are acting is having their cake and eating it too

He won't want it but it doesn't matter, it will happen regardless prior to his 300th.

I personally think it's best for the team and the club if he plays it at the MCG. He's introverted but does love the tiger army.

Team would really want to deliver him a win in his milestone in front of the fans rather than those savages in SA.

I’ll be there on a lads weekend with my 13yo. Would be perfect if Dusty played his 300th there.

Assuming your definition of a "lads weekend" differs from mine because I would never have taken my sons on one when they were that age....:shh

The only win I’ll be truly supporting for the rest of the year.

I’d agree but we are up against it with lolnorf

Not just Norf but the AFL and their "charitable" tendencies that now have the extra incentive of screwing us over again...which is another one of their tendencies... :shh

Caro on Footy Classified said look out for Cotch interviewing Dusty.

Garry Lyon said he would love Dusty to walk into Yze's office and say he wants to play his 300th this week in Adelaide because there's only 26 players to choose from and the team desperately needs him and then have a massive "301st" game in front of all of the Tiger fans at the 'G the week after.

Part of the decision is probably due to Taranto and Bolton both likely playing

Martin to miss Adelaide clash

By Richmond Media
4 June 2024

Richmond coach Adem Yze today confirmed that Dustin Martin would not play in Thursday night’s clash against Adelaide in Adelaide.

The 32-year-old, who has featured in Richmond’s past eight games, will instead be managed.

“The decision’s sort of been made for us," Yze said in his press conference on Tuesday morning.

"He’s a bit crook today. We’ve only got one training session.

"It was always going to be based on how he got through today, but he’s actually ill today, so that’s taken out of our hands.

“He’ll miss this weekend and the silver lining to that is the fact that he’ll get to play his 300th in front of our crowd against the Hawks next week.

“We’re disappointed that he’s not available for this week, but for our supporters and our Tiger Army, they’ll get to see him (play his 300th next week), which will be great.”

Richmond’s Round 14 clash at the MCG is against Hawthorn at 4.35pm.
