Dusty should retire after tonight..
FFS the team couldn't even lift for him and all his done.
Even players like Baker, been totally poo.
Trade him while he has value
Are you suggesting that Dusty should retire because all the other players didn’t lift for him? Sounds like their problem not Dusty’s.
Dusty has absolutely nothing to prove anymore...  Nothing!!! All the others do, and today apart from Taranto and Lynch they all failed

Lynch? I’ll Ofcourse cut him some because he’s missed 8 weeks or whatever it is but he was way way way off it.

He was terrible.

Obviously out of touch but regardless no excuse to be that poor.

Ridley was BOG vs us after a long lay off.

In an interview with three-time premiership teammate Jack Riewoldt after the match, Martin confirmed he would be back in the yellow and black in a fortnight after the bye, quashing retirement rumours.

A fair few ex-Tigers in the rooms post-game from Dusty's early years at the Club - Kayne Pettifer, Kelvin Moore, Andy Collins, Sam Lloyd, Brett Deledio, etc ...

Dustin what a humble champion he is. Spoke very well. Very sad he did not get a win on his 300th game.

Just curious

What did people think of the banner?

Personally, I thought it was poor. Yet again the caricature didn't look like the person it was supposed see d to represent

Okay gunna cop it but it was Dusty's 300th and he bloody struggled. No point just having a go at his mates need to be honest and just say he was poor in this game.
In years gone by he has made a reputation for himself by rising to the occasion. He clearly is no where near the player he was.

That aside what a champion and what a great player. What a priviledge  we have had  to watch him play for us.

I will say though i hope he retires at seasons end i think he has been in real decline for the last few years now better to remember him as he was rather than a shell of what he was.

I would give him a fresh 3 year deal if i was in charge, though i'm too biased with this bloke and think he should continue to get rewarded.

I will say this to your comment. The issue is much like Jack last year. It is not the player IMO, its the club and players left to fill the void. Quite frankly there is nothing due to their stupid decisions.

I mean Dow? Seriously. He was a late first rounder and look at him. Bolton is not giving us much at all and he is a lot younger than Dusty  :shh

I’d happily celebrate if we resigned him to a new 2 year extension. He’s not gonna be on anywhere near the money he is now and it’s not like our cap is bursting at the seams with all the retirements we’ve had over the past few seasons with more to come this year.

People have questioned his form and you’d have to blind to think he hasn’t been avg or poor in a handful of games, but the fact remains there are plenty others performing worse and there is no one in the 2s remotely close to his quality even in his decline.

At the very least he provides a reason to go to the footy in what looks to be a couple of lean seasons on the horizon.
