He was better than Chaplin....not that that's a ringing endorsement.....to be honest I barely noticed him....maybe, as with umpires, that's sometimes a good thing for a defender....

Astbury needs to have a decent block of games but I'm not convinced he is a better option than Chaplin or Batchelor.

Thought he took a couple of telling marks at crucial times in the game and for the most part didnt have many clangers compared to the rest of the team. The more he plays the better he will get but I fear he is another of these injury fragile players who never really reach their full potential. Chaplin on the other hand is passable on his good days but diabolical on his other days and basically costs us games with his clangers.
