Chappy being old was an excuse for being slow.

Astbury is slower than treacle

... but it was his unheralded partner-in-crime David Astbury who spent the day alongside the sharpshooting Eagle Josh Kennedy. Astbury did a solid job, too, restricting Kennedy to two majors from only three scoring shots.

Rance after the game today called Astbury our "No.1 defender who gets the big forward" and that Dave allows Rance to do his thing.

Words that come to mind when I look at Astbury.

Imposing.
Courageous.
Intelligent.

As WP said in the game thread. Credit where it's due for Dave.

Still early days this season but he's been good so far.

Dave was very good. Brisbane with arguably the weakest kpp stocks in the league though a this point.

Breakdown looming. Playing well though. Still think he kicks terribly but he's been making good spoils and taking grabs.

Why is a breakdown looming?

All players risk injury when they play.

Retract my comment that he was no better than Chaplin.

Don't retract too early , he hasn't played on a decent forward yet and we haven't played a decent side yet (apart from WC)
