Jack...if DH has no game plan...would you prefer Wallace and his game plan instead...or Jade Rawling's one?

Hardwick has a game plan, it's just not getting implemented at this stage. When you are getting flogged, the game plan is not going to be obvious simply because it's not being implemented by the blokes on the park.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

This really makes my blood boil.

Was St Kilda the new "Fitzroy" when they won only 11 games in 2000/01/02 ?
Was Fremantle the new "Fitzroy" when they lost the first 16 games of 2001 ?
Was Carlton the new "Fitzroy" when they finished 16th,15th,11th,16th,16th and 15th in consecutive years ?
Was Hawthorn the new "Fitzroy" when they won only 27% of their games in 2004/05/06 ?

The media makes me want to  :chuck

Would of thought that if either Rawlings or Wallace coached us on Sunday.
We would of got beat by 10 goals.
Reason, we didnt have one spare player back at any time.
Wallace and Rawlings would of had one spare player or even two in D 50 at all times
Hardwick didnt so we got smashed.
My thoughts on Sunday it that it was a training drill for Geelong.
Richmond WERE NOT strategic at all.

I have mentioned it before on some other threads and I know coming from Robbo we want to flog the mongrel but what he is trying to say is

Statistically on field we are the equivalent of Fitzroy of 1996.
They finished the season 1-21 with a % of about 50.
Realistically we may not have a win or we may win one and our % may improve from the 49.1 it is currently sitting on.

For the record great post Ramps earlier on. :thumbsup

To be fair, we are running at 49% and the only club who has finsihed a season with a % like that is Fitzroy in 95 (50 something) and 96 (49).

Even when the teams above were terrible, most would have been above 70%.

What they are getting at is we are not even competitive for a quarter of a game.

Robbo needs hot grease thrown on him, and a good kicking.  He is a Left handed rock chucker.

Jack we havent been strategic all year...DH and the assistant coaches are just working on different things with the players...

Take Rd 1 for example...we went in quite short...and pretty much conceded the hit outs to the blues...

Our run and spread wasnt too good against the bulldogs but was better the next few weeks...(aside from last weekend)...

We are trying to zone up when the opposition is in their defensive 50 making it hard for them to get the ball out...

They are trying players in many diff possies...I went to Melb and Tigers and saw Tambling play 1 qtr in fwd line, 1 qtr in mid and 1 qtr in backline...and they did that again on the weekend with some other players...farmer up fwd rance up fwd...etc...

At least DH is giving all the new recruits a go to see who can play and who cant....

Fitness and strategy will come later no doubt....

good post but i ask you this Con. Can playing these guys in all different positions really undermine their development. I think yes.

I mean we have about 12 players who dont have one set position and thats a joke really.

I also dont agree with your comment strategy will come later. Why should it??

Strategy IMO involves Tackling and Shepherding. I havent seen anything in the first 6 games from the senior guys to suggest this areas has changed. If we cant get this right we wont win a game this year or next,

throwing players behind the ball does NOTHING about teaching a defender to be accountable. Do you know anything at all about football, that simply masks the cracks...when in learning mode it's man on man...that is more telling than an 8 man defence

Mate, I know more about football in my little finger that you will never know.
The coaches already know who can play, they aint that dumb.
Was an ideal opportunity on the weekend to play an extra back as Geelong always keep structure .

rubbish you have already demonstated you know stuff all, the coaches do not know the capabilities of this side YET...man on man is a proven teaching method, used successfully by st.kilda in their fledgling years under Grant thomas
