2009 was an anomoly year due to 5000 members signing up from Ben Cousin's arrival. I'd hardly use that as evidence.

Wins=more members. There's nothing else i can say. So obvious it's not funny and you're so stubborn it's hilarious 

In the long run yes, but unless we're beating Top 8 sides and showing that we are finals bound in successive years then it's not going to make a massive difference. If we make the 8 and then start the season undefeated or 5-1 then I'm sure the phones will be ringing off the hook.

geelong don't have the same support as we do. If geelong won 0 games they would have less members. If you don't agree you have major problems

In all honesty Im with the mad one on this - The fact we still have so many members more than most clubs after 30 years of rubbish is testament to how many more supporters we have out there compared to most sides. A few more wins to get the juices flowing and I have no doubt we will see a slightly upward curve in memberships in the next several weeks  - but the real spike will come next year

OK, by June 30. We will compare sales from Round 1 until the end of June for 2009, 2010 and 2011.  Even if we didn't win another game we'll still have more sales this year. This is an absolute certainty, so you're argueing for the sake of it. I hope we beat freo and win even more games by midseason to prove how much wins contribute to membership

show me a trend of association over five years or so between games won early in the season and percentage increase in membership sales and i will concede you are correct, Mad One.
