Travis Casserley (7 disp.) also played in the Swans premiership alongside Andy Krakouer (40 disp.) and Tommy Roach (22 disp.)

http://prowess.com.au/live/wafl/scoreboard.php?comp=WAL10&rnd=26&mtch=121

Neither 3 could play AFL footy regularly
Lets dont get too carried away with Andrew Krakouer

Nothing wrong with the WAFL.

Will always be a fertile breading ground for the AFL.Anyone who says otherwise has rocks in their head.

In 2010 there were 27 players playing in the AFL who had played for East Fremantle. That is the most by any club outside the AFL.

That is a cold hard FACT

Andrew Krakouer was fantastic today...Will be a ready made AFL player in 2011 and will make an immediate impact. The only question is whether he will be an Eagle or a Docker.

Mate, only 9 teams in comp, with Perth and Peel thunder being absolutely hopeless. ::)
Andrew Krakouer played alot of games at Coburg during his last 2 years with us.
Mail is he is going to the Eagles. He can play alongside JON :lol

I lived in Dampier for years, loved it.  WA had a good education system in the 70's unadulterated by liberal feminist agendas and focused on educating kids on the basics unlike Melbourne.  And I'm a Vic.

Yep, WAFL  has only 9 teams-same as the SANFL-So your point is ?
Yep,Peel have been very uncompetitive since 1997 however their system was good enough to produce last years # 4 draft pick.Hayden Ballantyne has been pretty useful too.
Do you think the Krakouer of 2006 would of had 40 possies and kicked four goals in a WAFL GF ?

YES.
he struggled at AFL on many occasions.
Can tell you that he had issues of following and understanding game plan under Wallace.

Not in million years, blew up walking down the race.

To get 40 possesions  is a great effort at any level.

Hes not for us though IMHO,  too old now, not fast enough ( running speed) . He has lighting reflex's and a very good decision maker but we have better options now.

I don't get the hype? Do people actually think we should have kept this spud?

Good on him for playing well over in the WAFL but last time I looked that comp had a W on the front of it.

I don't think anyone is critisising the quality of players in the WAFL coming through the junior ranks, purely the talent level of the senior WAFL competition.
