Rumour on Carlton forums is that Jordan Russell may be heading home and traded to Adelaide. If that's true it could be combined with the rumour about us looking to do a trade with Carlton - such as a 3-way swap:

Connors -> Carlton
Russell -> Adelaide
Maric -> Richmond

...i'd be ok with connors for maric but agree anything higher than a 3rd rounder would be junk...espesh if we hold the cards and can get him via PSD (not my preferred method but still gives us the upper hand)...connors is on the way out anyway so getting a "need" in return would be handy...don't think Maric will be a superstar or "one of the elite big men in the comp" as quoted, but hopefully develops late like a Jamar (and he had a reasonably solid 2010)...anyone that can help feed our mids a bit would be an upgrade...

A few blokes on BF have said that Connors' new mates on Twitter are Taylor Walker and Bernie Vince and they were 'tweetibg' about hanging out and such. Sounds like we can nearly pencil in Connors <-> Maric. Doesn't make a difference to me. Connors has been non-existent.

And there are some more. Sounds like he's keen himself on heading to Adelaide. The x's to Vince are concerning though. At least we can use Maric and Rance to recruit some female supporters.

In other trade news, Richmond and Adelaide remain at loggerheads over ruckman Ivan Maric going to Punt Rd, with negotiations likely to go deep into trade week.

The Tigers have promised to trade aggressively, but a deal is some way off despite Maric's determination to leave South Australia.

Richmond does not want to give up its first round pick (No.14) or the compensation pick it received last year from Adelaide for Richard Tambling.
