So Connors is still not over his injury even after missing the majority of this season?

Apparently! It's still his quad..... He tore it bad and can't get it right, will miss at least the first month of the pre season. BTW my sauce is a family member :wink.

Maric deal done

“We would like to acknowledge the cooperation and professionalism of the Adelaide and St Kilda football clubs, who have ensured the trade was completed.”

Nice touch.

 :thumbsup

Not quite the way Tim Watson described it on SEN apparently.  From tiger-talk:

"Tim Watson on SEN was suggesting that Richmond and Adelaide were at
each others throats about this trade - with Adelaide suggesting
Richmond were trying to get him for unders, then discussing letting
him walk into the PSD. Suggested Adelaide have been very, very
unhappy with Richmonds aggressive trading nature."

http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/tiger-talk/message/95925

Anyone else hear Watson's comments?
So the dibber dobbers had another sook did they Tim? How can pick 37 be unders when the Crows picked up Jacobs for a similar pick last year who they rate higher than Maric  ::).

We offered pick 37 on Monday and it was Adelaide ridiculously stating they wanted a first rounder that held up the trade being done for 5 days. If another club thinks it can con us at the trade table then we had every right to play the PSD card to gain some leverage.

So it seems the once again the tigers have set what they feel to be a fair and reasonable offer and have steadfastedly stuck to their guns. Willing to look at other options, but still not give away more than they deemed appropriate. same with houli and grigg.  :thumbsup :gotigers

Fair call Al, I wasn't a big advocate for Grigg, Houli or Miller but v happy with Houli, Grigg has been alright and Miller has done what the club set out for him to achieve.

I'm not a huge fan of Maric the footballer but hear great things about him as a clubman and his big body will get used unlike beefcake.

The club should be given some credit after last year so let's go Drago!
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

Agree with those sentiments Y&B.  Reading the BF thread on Maric gave me a different perspective and even if he is a slight upgrade on Beefcake then we will have done ok.  Never know our luck - he might even thrive!

From the highlights it isn't so much that he has size, it is he appears to know how to use it
