my 6yo daughter is tougher than gus, that weak bastard should dominate and impose his presence on games, but is plays scared , plays soft, and is an embarrassment

As most know I am not a Gus fan but I thought his game on Firday night was OK, probably the best I've seen from him in a long long time

Why?

Every ruck contest he watched the ball and not the man.  That is a significant improvement

While I agree Maric is clearly a better ruckman having Maric around is going to be good for Gus because he isn't going to be gifted games anymore and that's got to be a good thing

Reckon people who are bagging Gus need to watch the game again. Keep your eyes on the big bastard and you'll see that he worked hard up and down the ground. Like i have already said, split some packs and made a coupld of good spoils down back. I wouldn't say he played a good game but he was better than the bloke he rucked against.

Gus will improve this season.

The problem is he did this for 5 minutes of each half then ran out of puff ::) ::)
I don't think we  will have to worry to much about Gus this season, Maric wont give him a chance to break into the side ;) :lol :lol

Gus was the key when the game was to be won, he threw his weight around and split several packs open.

As for his blind turn.  :bow

Maric was ordinary at best. Incident when the ball was kicked to him towards the end of the game on the wing and he was scared and lacked the mobility to compete.

He is ahead of himself, demanding to be called Eeee-vaaan, and was noticeably abusive towards his team mates.
