Suns are big fans of Brandon Ellis. Won’t cost them a pick, is clean, durable, kicks it well, plays in multiple positions. Aware of his shortcomings but a guy with 173 games by 26 would play a lot of games for them with outside polish.

Suns offering close to three times that of the Tigers.

Should be in @GoldCoastSUNS colours by October

So you're saying the Suns are offering close to $800k - $900k a season for him?

On the assumption our offer is around the $300k - $350k mark. Might even be slightly more.

Maybe he means 3 times as much total?

Like if we offered him $1million over 3 and GCS offered $3million over 5.

No way in hell any club would offer him 800-900/year...

Based on his age games played 1 or potentially 2 time premiership player and his wages going up we are looking at end of r1 draft pick. Pick 20 potentially in compo for Brandon.

If you are paying Bellis $800/$900k a year you don’t know footy.
Simple.

And yet perfectly reasonable assumption. If he was on 500 with his current contract, we couldn't be offering less than 300 now.

One of the most ludicrous things I have seen someone say.

We'd have to be offering BEllis a touch over 200k for that statement to be correct. We're offering double that.

Hand in your badge, Tony....:shh

Why should he?

He earned that badge fair and square and still has the Kellogg’s placket to prove it.

You think we're offering Ellis $450,000/year?

I bloody well hope not.

I put him somewhere between 250-350 max given his output and our list requirements.

400k.

Don't worry, this is the hallelujah farewell tour before his pay day. Barring the extraordinary, there's only 2 more weeks of Brave Brando.

After last week he may have played his last game....

What will you do when you don’t have to stick up for this little 💩?

Who is your next fav?

To be honest I respect your commitment the Brave Brando

I don't know who I'm gonna turn into a fearless premiership hero next yet BT. Maybe Menadue can be saved but The Machine has dibs on him.

FWIW I reckon he'll stay in the side and have one of his good games in the prelim....:shh Either that or he'll be dropped and can mentor the likes of Grimes and Flossy on how to stay composed in tough situations. Brave Mentor Brando has a good ring to it.

Please don’t choose Menadue as it might be a short friendship.

Pick one of our young stars that really have a go.

PREMIERSHIP TIGER’S TIME AT PUNT ROAD ALMOST UP

Brandon Ellis is still very much a part of Richmond’s premiership quest for 2019.

But the 26-year-old defender is destined to join the Gold Coast Suns on a mega-deal, says Sam Landsberger.

“You can just about take this one to the bank,” Landsberger told AFL Tonight.

“I think he’ll sign that five-year contract and head up to the Gold Coast Suns.

“It’s a great get for the Suns. He might be a dual premiership player by then.

“He’s a free hit, they get him for nothing as a free agent.”
