Think Dougeytheacademic is a bit confused and hasn't been reading the whole conversation.

He's more the lazy kind of soft than the gutless kind of soft.....
This.

His lack of chasing and playing behind his man waiting for the easy out the back goal, kills the team, as it rarely works out for him.

And yet runs the most

After his 36 touch game 2014, in which he won a boomerang for BOG

---

“I think he’s had a pretty consistent year,” said Richmond’s coach Damien Hardwick.

“He’s a guy that’s got enormous work-rate, and he started to find that he can actually run players into the ground.

“His tank is enormous, he’s found what works for him . . . it’s really one of his weapons that he can actually use.

“He’s watched a lot of tape of some players that work in a similar manner, so he’s starting to get into his footy, which is great.”

--

I don't think his fitness is an issue

He isn't the only one is the team that doesn't like defending

I think some are confused in general around ere

How can he be lazy if he's one If the best runners in the league?

Its just an annoying GenY trait to expect a young player to be an instant champion.  If he doesn't win a Brownlow/Coleman/Premiership/B&F in his first year then the highly inarticulate sledge of 'his a dud' isn't far behind.  So many people fail to realize how much harder the AFL is compared to just one league down.  State leagues, TAC & VFL leagues are miles behind the standard required in the AFL & it takes the very best young players years to make the transition.
If every 22yo player we have at the club was as good in his role as B Ellis is right now we would be in a very very good place!     ;D

What's the excuse for the 26/27/28/29 year old duds on te list?

Gen y problem somehow no doubt

Not a lot of love for Brandon at times ...

Compared to his peers - he has done quite well.

Played the second most number of games from the class of 2011

Should have been traded along with Conca' Batchelor and Morris.

Gotta love the posters who bag the poo out of our players for worthless sacks of poo and then fully expect to get overs on trade value

Rest assured Chucky, plenty of clubs have received overs for their spuds over the years....surely as this board's most ardent critic of
Hamspud, you would be well aware of this...

Said it before, will say it again

It's not just about quantity it's about quality

Brandon may get plenty of the ball but it's what he does with them is the issue....
