I think some are confused in general around ere

Its just an annoying GenY trait to expect a young player to be an instant champion.  If he doesn't win a Brownlow/Coleman/Premiership/B&F in his first year then the highly inarticulate sledge of 'his a dud' isn't far behind.  So many people fail to realize how much harder the AFL is compared to just one league down.  State leagues, TAC & VFL leagues are miles behind the standard required in the AFL & it takes the very best young players years to make the transition.     
If every 22yo player we have at the club was as good in his role as B Ellis is right now we would be in a very very good place!
