"Adam McNicol: P.S. - No clubs elected to select training squad rookies, like Hawthorn did with Travis Tuck and a couple of others last year. There will be no training squads in operation this summer. "

Does that mean we cant do what we did last year ?????

if we passed our last rookie pick (outside heslin)

why would we not have wheeler/contin/whoever else training  for the last rookie spot? 

If we are allowed to like last year ie. Casserly or have the afl changed the rules again.

Miller can't be on the main list, we didn't delist enough players for there to be a spot for him.

Miller is on the rookie list

And we still have 1 rookie spot spare, hence why we had 7 picks and not eight 

But it appears no clubs this year are using the "rookie squad" option this season

I believe Wheeler is signed for Coburg in 2012. Think he was already signed to play before the draft.
