I saw Jack and Tyrone 'pull-out' tonight when total commitment was required. A terrible indictment on an an AFL footballer and even moreso when you are well over 6 foot. They need to be named and shamed >:(

interesting you say that GR12. I started watching the carlton game yesterday and at one stage in the first 1/4 vickery was running one out for a loose ball and seemed to be labouring. made me think he was carrying an injury.

I feel really sorry for the likes of Cotchin and Deledio. You can see these two boys are trying to lift the club by the bootstraps and we just dont have enough soldiers to help them out.

Totally agree
We aint good enough full stop
I never ever want to see Jackson again
Vickery isnt far behind him either
You have always had a hate on for though Vickers though Jack ;). IMO he is still struggling from that corkie he got in the NAB Cup.

I dont think a corky effects his ability to mark the ball, weak excuse
Foley went back on with his nose busted over his face tonight and still had a crack.
Vickery couldnt bruise a grape

Great effort from the side and plenty to work with.
Did not take our chances in the 1st half, went AWOL for 10 minutes and then got back on level terms before dominating the last Qtr.
Back line was fantastic!
Midfield was solid but let down our forwards with poor supply.
Vick's and Jack did not take enough initiative - Jack looked lost for most of the game but I would not hold him solely responsible.

We need one big scalp and it all changes.

Big change from 2011 IMO.

You must of been at a diifferent game to me
Big change from 2011, we got smashed.
We cannot take a mark inside F 50 and it just goes to show the 'our rookie" player leads the way tonight in marks and goals.
Same as other years, always left to to few players to have an impact
God knows what would of happened without Lids and Cotchin
Our bottome 6 players are useless.
Never want to see Daniel Jackson in yellow and black again
Edwards isnt far behind him either
Tuck is gone

Nope, at the same game. Rance enormous and beat the 2nd best forward in the game. Grimes fantastic. Batch very good. Grigg, Maric, Ellis and Moris played with huge heart. Conca showed a bit.
In and of itself, the above are massive gains from 2011.
Forwards could not be worse, nor the supply from our mids.

The players you mentioned arent good enough but neither is our depth. In time that will be fixed.
It's that simple Spud

Boys just got home here's my take.

Lids and Cotchin all class.

Rance was good.
Thought Ellis recovered well. Morris was reasonable too.
Batchelor I like this kid will be a player for us as will Conca.
I like the fact that these kids can play will add depth.

Maric was solid.
Miller was good in the forward line.

I want to see Jack out of the square and not try to take mark of the year each time the ball comes into the fwd line. No more footy show just play footy Jack.

Dusty should run in straight lines instead of dancing around and around.

Jackson is just a terrible indictment. Cannot hit a target when under no pressure. Has no concept of the fundamentals of footy. Gets in player's way anyone see the Rance incident that cost us a goal.
What was he defensive mid, tagger. His mistakes are elementary errors that footy players in their ninth season of AFL should not be doing. Has no awareness and no concept of the game just a runner and a fit bloke playing footy due to endurance but he aint that quick of mind on the field and not quick physically either to get to contests. Never have I seen a bloke get the ball and give it straight back as much as this bloke. I thought Tiva was the turnover king. Nope Jako is His Royal Highness in that category.

Limited the damage in the end but by then Collingwood were not over exerting themselves. They really lacked polish and still put us to the sword. Carlton will defeat them next week.

Sets up a GF of sorts in Round 3 between us and the Dees. How much all the good will and faith we had in the pre season will be put to the test more so than our games in the first two weeks. As far as I am concerned if we cannot beat a side that is in the mire as they are then we deserve to wallow where we are. Next week is our clubs most important game of the year as things have panned out. Must win no matter what and not just fall over the line a good win a comfortable one 5 goals plus.

Its not about fans showing faith its time the club also took responsibility of their own destiny and mark this down and build from there. Club needs to make a positive on field statement next week and win their first game.

Positive too was % didn't take a battering and a good win next week may have us back on track in that department also. It's all in our hands.

How many times did we get pinged for throwing the ball & how many did Collinwood get away with it? Umpiring seemed a bit one sided.

Forward line, with the exception of Miller was a disgrace. Don't understand what the commentators were going on about Rance - he was one of our best.

Agree with comments about Jackson & Vickery.

Most exciting thing was the half time brawl with Jake taking on Jolly!!  :clappingIf the AFL fine anyone for being involved in a melee - well that's purely revenue raising!!

Just got home, where do l start. 10 mins in l could have left.  King / Obrien WTF. Jackson oh please if this bloke plays next week l will self destruct, His not a footballers ass. Edwards oh please, Rewoldt has to be dropped, is gutless & expects everyone else to do the hard stuff but him. Umpiring was shocking but was against them & helped us stay in the game.

But this defines a footballer NOT. Shaw is running circles around the place & Jackson is berating his players l mean Hello who's man was it. JACKSON's. l swear if this bloke plays another game of football for this club then we are going nowhere. He is a moron & how he has lasted 9 years has stumped me. l'm over him & Dimma is a twit putting King on Obrien. Turnovers, Cross country football. l seen Jackson run 70 metres & he run himself to the boundry line out of the play.

l'm going to bed before l really explode. What l seen tonight was the worst football game in my entire life.

forgot to add, since when did blind kicking come into the AFL. l seen so many players do it tonight from our side l said to everyone around us that we pay to see this action. 10 year old do that crap OMFG We are rabble. we are a botton 4 side. l retract my statement of saying we will finish 5th. 5th last is where we are at. Hard miles ahead. Rabble game next week vs melbourne. seriously l'm not going.

This, particularly in the first quarter they were under huge pressure and were throwing the ball and the umpire ignored it, I think what happened is the umpires got worded up to stop the throws and didn't get told it was Collingwood doing it because all of a sudden our blokes were getting done left right and centre even for handpasses.

I'm glad some of my fellow posters are finally seeing the reality of the situation.

It truly takes a strong leader to change a culture of mediocrity. To eradicate the disease that plagues a club with a loser mentality. I've been saying it for some time now & have come to expect the worse.
I have seen some improvements at the club since Benny Gale has been there. I hope that hardwick truly has the right vision to lead us to success. It's hard to know for sure unless he has the right players all around the ground. We are still 2 years away of even thinking about finals. The reason Ive said this was because you need a great backline to be truly a good team & we are miles away from that.

Rance was excellent last night but he has no support whatsoever. I was suprised he didn't snap last night & punch a few of his mates down there he was covering 3 players at certain stages of the match on his own. You can only wonder what his teammates were doing.

Newman was terrible again. Unacceptable from a Captain to be so bad two weeks running.

Lids can hold his head high. He did am excellent job last night in leadership showed us he wants to play finals footy.

Jackson..... I've been a supporter of his but enough is enough. If you can't take a chest mark when by yourself on a wing then you can't play AFL.

Jack..... Terrible, selfish, lazy, bighead, hero, non-team player. Hopefully he watches how hard cloke worked & he realizes that is the benchmark for him.

Miller is proof that we have noone else yet.
Vickery has potential but shouldn't be allowed to play in the seniors till he knows how hard he must work. He is not getting any leadership from Jack at the minute.
Tuck tries hard but his man broke the game open in the third.
King..... If your gonna fight make it count.

Cotchin is & will be a great for us. Hopefully he stays but I won't blame him if he decides to go.

The club that keeps giving.

dont know how you can bag the backline on last nights efforts. the pressure they were under most of the night , largely due to collingwoods dominance in the midfield was huge, yet they never crumbled.

newman made some mistakes early, as did nearly everyone, but was a solid contributor after that. punches above his weight so often.
