A 5th club based in Victoria (not Hawthorn) is now interested apparently. The other 4 are Collingwood of course, Freo, Dogs and Melb.

Cloke wants more than $900k p.a. over a 5 year deal according to the Herald-Sun.

How could Melbourne possibly fit CLoke and Clark in their salary cap and leave enough to keep the likes of Trengove, Grimes, Howe etc?


I reckon Carlton is the other club,  They're dusting off the Visy payroll book as we speak.

They will have plenty of spare cash when their current highest paids walk or are kicked out.... Jamar, Maloney, Green, Davey etc - plenty of spare change there  ;D

Gut feel he won't move, unless he gets the proverbial offer you cant refuse.

They are doing the usual pretend to shop around, to either get an pay increase or maintain the current salary level over an extended length contract.
