soft tissue injury after a long lay off with a leg injury. welll blow me down the world has ended.
the bloke has had in essence one freakish injury since hes been with us. his patella along with the clubs management of the injury has basically cost him the best part of two yrs.
im more than happy to see if he can get up and going this yr.

hes not hurting anything, salary cap or stopping us playing kids.

of course his not hurting anyone.

injured or not he is still getting paid 350k, and his injury is not long term so wont upgrade a rookie.

Beyond this year he cant surely continue with the RFC as a player.
Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

im always happy to back in players with good attributes wp. this week we had a stroll in the park. nearly every player did well and we won well as we should have.

sorry if i cant get enthused about these types of wins though. flat track bullies really has been an apt description for us. they always go alright when theres no pressure or opposition. but as soon as pressure is applied they fold.
im sorry to say but imo we arent going anywhere with this list. a lot of  those who shone  saturday have to go.they are the biggest culprits when pressure goes on wins against weak opposition cant cover that up,  thats just being honest.
these blokes are going to have to show they can play high pressure footy against good sides CONSISTENTLY  before i even get optimistic. trouble is you know i know we all know deep down this list is no where near it.those that have consistently failed will do so again.

im happy for people to celebrate a win i m happy to not post on the game for rest of the week so they can enjoy it . but i dont want to be seen as one who goes missing when we win.

Whilst that's true somehow those culprits pulled through against Adelaide last year and the Bombers  and against Port last year.

Just goes to show where RFC needs to invest their money is some sort of motivator or psychologist because ability wise I think a lot of these players can do their part. They just have this inexplicable tendency to switch to the mental fortitude of a 15 year old when games don't "open up"

the club already has this in place. the problem is not the lack of support staff its the players. that's all. look at selwood from geelong he wills himself and his team to victory. do we have one that could do that for us?

well Rance wills himself to take on 2-3 forwards and keep us in games. I don't see anyone else in the backline who follows suit. I could say the same thing about the other forwards and following Jack when he kicks us multiple goals to keep us matches also

10 weeks? Bloke looks finished to me. I'm sure he's a decent fella and all but what a monumental waste of money. Managed 7 games for the club (presuming his 7th and 8th games count as one as he was injured in both).

Even being optimistic I doubt he could get back for the last 8-10 games. Maybe give him a finale if we miss the finals.

Shame. Very classy footballer in truth.

Hamstring tendon surgery floors unlucky Tiger Knights

Niall Seewang

RICHMOND’S Chris Knights is facing another major setback, with the unlucky utility facing a lengthy stint on the sidelines.

Knights was subbed of last Saturday night’s win against the Brisbane Lions after injuring his hamstring.

He was playing his first game at AFL level since round seven, 2013, when he ripped his patella tendon off the bone.

On Monday evening, Richmond said scans had revealed damage to Knights’ hamstring tendon, which will require surgery.

The former Crow will be on the sidelines for 10-12 weeks.

"We’re really feel for Chris, as he showed on the weekend he could still make an impact at the highest level," Richmond’s general manager of football Dan Richardson said.

"We have no doubt Chris will attack his rehab with the same determination he has shown over the last 24 months, and we will support him through that."

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick was upset when asked about Knights’ injury after the win against the Lions.

"It's disappointing for the young fella," Hardwick said. "He's made his way back in the side, he's had a tough journey. We feel for him.

"It's a sad state of affairs."
