It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

brief discussion on SEN about potentials for the brownlow, Harf made a good point about Dayne Beams
Has had a ripper of a season in a "winning"team 15 games so far and has kicked plenty of goals.
Reckons both Chimp and Jobe will miss out due to win/loss ratio which is not really fair however thats how they roll  ::)

I don't believe Cotch will poll 3 votes in every game by any stretch but most of our games have been close (as yeloowandblack said) and he has typically been the standout player on the field so you would expect that he polls 1 or 2 at least for each of these games. The really close affair such as the GC, Carlton and Essendon games he was clearly the best afield even though we lost - these will be the interesting votes for mine.

I think he has a real chance of coming home like a storm and over taking Watson.  :thumbsup

I think he has about 22-24 votes at the moment. Needs a good last round performance.

Will be surprised if Cotchin wins.

By my reckoning he will poll between 16 and 19 votes at the most.

Deledio, Grigg and Co will also attract some votes to.

The BOG stats gets you noticed - but there is one important factor that everyone seems to forget every year - that is the Umpires!

3 Umpires per game, 8 games per round, so many different interpretations, who in the wide wide world of sport knows what these attention seeking, power hungry little men will do with their votes.

By this criteria - I think that there are only a few in the race - ball winners that don't talk or react to the umpires:

I don't think there have been the standout players in the comp this year so I don't reckon you will need as many votes as in previous seasons to win it.  Cotch's 2nd half of the season has been much stronger than his 1st so if he is thereabouts at Round 12 then I would expect him to give it a big shake.

He polled 16 last year, he's panels ahead this season and so are we as a team  :o
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Cotch into $4.50

http://www.sportsbet.com.au/betting/australian-rules/afl-brownlow-medal
I got him at $51  ;D

Same  :cheers

I keep reading this, I'd be interested to know where you got $51, I was shopping around in Feb and the best I got was $31 on Centrebet. I only had a fiver on him, geez wish I loaded up! I think Deledio will be the only thing between him and a Brownlow.
