I've heard whispers that we are playing all of the other Big 4 clubs twice next year.

So that means Collingwood will be one of the two top 8 sides from this year that we'll be playing twice next year (if the AFL keeps its word). The other according to 5AA is Adelaide.

Also Geelong will be trying to squeezing 7 home games at Kardinia Park into the second half of next season upon completion of the redevelopment down there. For the first one they want  to make a big deal of it and have an 'opening night' against a big drawing Victorian club. Apparently one of Richmond and Carlton have been suggested.

Presumably we'll be playing the Suns only once again up in Cairns  :P.

So having a guess at putting the pieces together so far:

1. Carlton (away)

3. Collingwood? (home?)

?. Adelaide ...... playing them twice so I'm presuming the first is early on in the season like the others.

8. Essendon (dreamtime - home)

10. West Coast (away)
11. Bye? ..... break after travelling to Perth?
12? Geelong (away at KP)  .... bloody hope not again :banghead

?. Gold Coast ('home' in Cairns)
?. Carlton (home)
?. Collingwood (away?)
?. Adelaide
?. Essendon (away)

Remaining 11 games split over the remaining 10 opposition clubs. So we'll only play one other bottom 8 side from this year twice aside from Essendon and Carlton.

I'll take another stab and say the AFL will make us travel to each state only once with the possible exception Qld. So that'll mean home games only against Freo and Port; a H/A split between GWS and Sydney; and our usual away game at the 'Gabba against Brisbane.

Add one game also against the remaining Vic-based top 8 sides Hawthorn and North.

So that'd leave either St Kilda or Melbourne as the other team we play twice. If we are switched on and genuine finals contenders then either should be two winnable games and 8 pts.

That wouldn't be the worst draw but not one of the easiest either as Adelaide, Collingwood, Carlton and Essendon who we rumouredly are playing twice will all be aiming to play finals as well. Claw you may get your wish and if we make the finals next year we'll have earned it.

That's rubbish that we're playing Adelaide twice.

They haven't come to the G since 2010 to play us. Should be one game at the g only for 2013 and 2014.

Afl shafts us again.

We had better be playing at least GWS twice. I hope MT, your predictions are like Jackstars as we deserve a decent draw for once!!  :banghead :banghead

We really need Jackstarr to come in and tell us we're going to have a terrible draw. FACT.

and then preferably consolidate this by saying 'think this needs a bump'

With Jesse White at FF I'm shaking in my boots at the prospect of playing them twice.  :whistle

So we think that we will play Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon and Adelaide twice. I'm thinking Melbourne will be the other. We always seem to get them twice. Trying to build a rivalry between 2 up and coming clubs but one team stayed poo.  :whistle

Bulldust

True story. Really nervous about it. With Tex likely to be sitting on the sidelines suspended for being a dumbarse again, White will be the go-to guy. Could be one of those days where a spud plays the game of his life against us.  :banghead

Hoping that Rutten and Thompson start to slow down a bit and Vickery can really improve us as shown in the 2011 game against them, no one could stop him. I think we can at least split those 2 games with them and we go pretty well at AAMI.

Calling it early.  Bulldogs will be worse than GWS and / or Gold Coast in 2013.
