Another who I thought had a fantastic game when the heat was on.
Just a shame that late brilliant Murdoch goal took the shine of a fine performance.

I was just angry nobody was there to help him. He was having a genuine crack as always. Can hold his head up for sure. So much composure...

Just on the Murdoch goal which was brilliant

I hope Dimma shows that to our players - we need players to show that desperation. Murdoch just didn't give up and look at the result. Our players need to understand that is the norm not the exception

Not his fault just not quick enough.

Murdoch's goal was due to speed nothing else.

We are slow as all stuff out there

Murdoch is above average pace anyway not many can keep up with him from what I hear. I dont blame Vlastuin he was fantastic yesterday. Yesterday we lost the game in the first 45 minutes of the match when we didnt turn up to play.

One of those moments where you thought "tigeritis" was taking over. Worked his way through it though.  :clapping

Add the poor defending at the stoppage which allowed the ball out too easily allowing Selwood space to kick a centering ball which lead to the goal.

On Flossy - I thought he was one of the few that played well over the whole four quarters. When we were stuffing around with the footy and undersiege in that first qtr, Flossy was one who stood up in defence with clean hands and disposal and going in hard to win the footy. I hope he gets more of a run in the guts as the season progresses rather than spending most of the game in defence.

The only criticism I have of him this season is he seems not to be able to break clear/evade very easily. I notice that when a player is close to tackling him, they generally do. I don't think hes that slow on the whole but his  initial burst off the mark needs a lot of work. Needs to improve that power to put that metre or 2 break on opponents in close.

or maybe its just fatigue and he doesn't have the miles in the legs yet, I remember his diary on his first year, mentions the word pain and general fatigue a lot

geez, at risk of sounding like claw, i think he is making a lot of "baby mistakes".

sometimes his desision making making/execution  leaves a bit to be desired, but i am not worried about it. seen enough to suggest he will grow out of it and become a very good player, but he's far from Midas at this point

Scratching my head to try and find as aspects of his game which have improved from last year (which was very good).
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”
